The property is beautiful, peaceful and very comfortable inside. The location is fantastic, close enough to town for convenience. We will definitely look to stay here again!
This is our second stay at this property and we've already booked for next year Chris takes care of us and make sure everything's okay recommend to anybody looking for a reasonably priced house in a great location
This location is a gem! The house sits on a quiet lot with beautiful views from every direction. Close to town if you need supplies, and far enough away from town to feel like you are away from the busyness. The owner was very kind and friendly and generous! We would definitely stay here again!
The home is in a great location, on a small pond with lovely views of the mountains. It's a terrific place to enjoy both Gunnison and Crested Butte. The owners are terrific hosts who encouraged us to enjoy the baby goats, ducks and chickens on the property.
The home had everything we needed to be comfortable and the kitchen is well-stocked.
We're looking forward to coming back and staying longer next time!
We loved staying here! It was super convenient to drive into Gunnison as it was only 3 minutes. It was right off the highway. Everything inside is dated but it is functional and clean. They have a little pond that ducks and swans go to, that my kids loved to watch. They have chickens and goats as well. It was a great place to stay at with small kids (ages 2 & 5).I highly recommend!

Nice place to stay. Clean, quiet and equipped. Beds are a bit soft but each to his own. We initially had communication issues with the owner since his vm was full but got through about 30 minutes of arrival and got the code to the door. He called back to confirm we got in which was good. Very pleasant stay!
A buddy and I stayed to do some fishing. The location was excellent, less than one mile from the boat ramp and a restaurant. The house is out of town enough but is still plenty close to get supplies, etc. We loved the grounds. The pond is beautiful, and the birds and goats around were very nice. The owners are on the land in a different house, and were very helpful throughout. The unit itself is not really updated, but is plenty comfortable. I look forward to taking my wife back to stay there sometime soon.
We rented this house because of its location, only 2 miles into Gunnison. It also has a pond which was lovely. There were geese and ducks plus they have four goats and chickens. Our daughter and her three daughters were able to spend a couple nights with us. They loved it! They got to pet the goats, see the chickens up close so saw where the eggs were laid. There was one male goose, Dave the goose was friendly. Dave loved grandpa. Dave protected grandpa and let grandpa pick him up and would wrap his neck around grandpa’s neck. We would come back in a heart beat! Linens, towels, toilet paper, paper towels, dish and hand soap, plus a coffee maker, toaster and blender, came with the rental.
My husband and I needed to escape for a few days. This little cabin sits on a private lake with ducks. The driveway is shared with the owners who are friendly but non obtrusive. You are encouraged to recycle and there are well labeled recycle bins in the garage. The cabin decor is rustic and comfortable with a retro vibe that we found quite charming . We never ventured up the ladder to the third bedroom. The other parts of the house are fairly level with few steps. We were very happy with our few days here.

Easy stay at the pond
This house is comfortable and serviceable. It enjoys a nice location close to the highway for easy access to nearby Gunnison or an enjoyable drive to beautiful Crested Butte. If the pond and ducks weren't there to keep us entertained, the highway would probably have bothered us a lot more, as its presence never left our ears, but we took neighborhood walks that directed us away from this noise. The kitchen is the most problematic part of this house as its layout and design leaves little room to move in its awkwardness, but the two bedrooms are large, and the living room comfortable. The loft's access (the ladder is at a 90 degree angle from the floor) is only for the agile and adventurous, but once accessed you'll find a large space and windows for ventilation. We enjoyed our stay, believe the property to be a good value for the price, appreciated the cleanliness and location, and that's what counts when you want a wonderful time together.
We had a nice stay here during hunting season. It was nice to sit outside and look all the duck and geese that live on the property. We plan on staying again next year. It was very peaceful. Oh and the bed in the bigger room was so nice . I had the most wonderful night sleep. The only thing I didn’t really like is the carpet.
Our stay at the VRBO house in Gunnison was exceptional! The property was immaculate, with a beautifully decorated full-service kitchen. The highlight was sitting on the porch, watching the pond’s two geese and numerous ducks—so peaceful. The location couldn’t have been better—just 4 minutes from town, yet the serene landscape made it feel like we were in the countryside. It was the perfect blend of convenience and tranquility. Highly recommend this wonderful retreat!
This place was so cute. It is a little old and has wallpaper throughout the house, but we thought it made the place look charming. The house is super clean and had everything we needed. It even has a washer and dryer. It has Roku so you can pretty much watch whatever you want. The living room had comfortable couches and plenty of room for everyone to sit. Every night we played games in the dining room. Now for the outside of the house. There was a gas grill for us to use. They also have a patio table with six chairs for you to relax in. There is a big grass area by the pond to relax and watch the geese and ducks. Also, a great place to play cornhole. They have goats who were just adorable. We would definitely rent this place again. Thanks Chris and Audrey for sharing your adorable house.
