"Welcomed by a cousin of the owner, this lovely property, with loads of bathrooms and loos, essential for twelve people, provided a great swimming pool, and large garden for badminton, archery, kicking footballs and rugby, hanging out your washing, having barbecues, etc., and we were all able to eat together outside around large tables, or just relax under the awning. Plenty of bikes of all sizes, for exploring the safe, traffic-free country lanes, while surrounded by vineyards and sunflowers. ...

"Cela m'embête de donner un avis aussi défavorable car l'hôte est un homme sympathique mais je juge les lieux et non la personne. La maison et le terrain sont très grand, et c'est certain que cela demande beaucoup de temps et d'énergie pour effectuer un entretien correct. Peut être est il temps de faire appel à une entreprise pour faire ce travail. "We weren’t disappointed by this property at all. We stayed for 3 nights while attending a wedding . I will say that this place while soundproofed, is not quiet, you can hear people in other rooms. The beds could be a bit more comfortable too. Other than that, our room was clean, the staff were friendly and spoke English. The location is beautiful, we loved Jonzac and would return. "

"We had a great relaxing break at Emma’s cottage. The location is good with plenty of options for restaurants and places to visit. The pool is a real bonus and Emma is a fantastic host always on hand if we needed anything but never intrusive. We will definitely be coming back at some point in the future as we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Highly recommended place to stay"

"Lovely, well appointed gem in the quiet hamlet of Cognac. Terrific staff and Michelin Star dining on property - too much food! The pool is heated, convenient short walk from our room and the surrounding spa and amenities are outstanding. However, I cannot say enough about the impeccable staff who made us feel welcome at Christmas,"

"The hotel was beautiful and the staff beyond helpful.. Location was perfect in a beautiful street close to the main square and walking distance to everything. But you must be aware that its a small city ad taxi service is limited... i had to walk to the hotel from the train station and also on my way back.. all the taxis.were fully booked.. 1.4 km not bad but.with a suitcase is not fun... this not the hotel's fault... but you must be aware (the same is i guess for all hotels) "

"Tout c'est très bien passé, de la réservation au dernier jour du séjour. Très jolie propriété, bien équipée au global. Le propriétaire sait se rendre disponible en cas de question, il est très réactif. Pour le ménage, c'était correct mais pas très affiné. La prise en charge se passe bien grace aux explications transmises par le propriétaire. Nous garderons un très bon souvenir de notrnotreséjour. "

"We arrived to a lovely welcome by Malcolm. The pictures were very accurate. The farmhouse was beautiful and rustic. The views were gorgeous. We had everything we needed for a group family stay. Shops weren’t too far away. Thank you Malcom it was fab. "
