" From the second we walked in we felt at home. The house is cozy with an easy and inviting style. A walk to the Guilford green for coffee or a bite to eat is 5 minutes through a beautiful and quiet neighborhood. Hallie and Zack were easy to communicate with and had everything set for an easy check in and out. Next time we come back to Guilford to visit family we’re planning on staying here! Thank you again! "Our family of five stayed here for four months. I have only wonderful things to say about this house, the town of Guilford, and our hosts, Starlet and James. The house is a mid-century retreat set in a beautiful forest. We saw deer, squirrels, and chipmunks, and enjoyed the sounds of owls and coyotes (in the distance) at night. The kitchen and main bathroom are brand new and gorgeous! The kids loved the large soaking tub, and we loved cooking meals in the perfectly appointed kitchen. It had everything we needed and then some. The three bedrooms have comfortable beds and plenty of storage. There is a spacious office and a great sunroom - we used it as a workout room. The heating and AC are new and comfortable. The hot water is endless! Again, we can only say good things! In our time in Guilford, we became friendly with the neighbors, enjoyed gorgeous walks around the shoreline (Chaffinch Island Park is a quick stroll away, as well as Barbara Pine beach.) Guilford is the cutest New England town with friendly residents, great shops and restaurants, and easy access to the 95. My husband commuted into Yale on the train which was very convenient and quick. (It’s also a quick 22-ish minute drive.) During our stay, Starlet and James were perfect hosts: very responsive to all messages, thoughtful in letting us know when to expect yard work or maintenance. The heater stopped working once and a repairman was there within a few hours to replace the filter. I recommend this house 100%!"

"Two words perfectly describe this property. Charm and Character seasoned with history. It is a comfortable place to be, and you feel at home the minute you walk in the door. The 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms was just what our group of 7 needed. Be sure to look at the painted door in one of the 1st floor bedrooms. The kitchen has all you need to make a feast. On Christmas day we cooked a 15lb stuffed turkey with 4 side dishes, gravy, and an apple crumble. We could've done a pie but nobody wanted to make a crust. There was 9 of us for dinner. We used the kitchen table as a buffet line, took the chairs into the living room, and ate dinner in front of the working fireplace. Kinda perfect. The house is very close to the town center. Just a short walk to the green and wonderful shops. Get a sandwhich from the market, you won’t be disappointed. The owner Yvette is pleasant and quick to respond to your messages. I know this sounds like your typical be nice review. But you can feel and see the love, care, and attention that she has put into this place. There is thought and soul here. "I can not say enough about our stay. Hunter was an amazing host and communication was quick, easy, and made the experience delightful!!! The house is bright and comfy and the view was stunning and relaxing. Every room was perfect from bedroom to living room to kitchen. We wanted for nothing. A quiet getaway to relax was what we were looking for and this was the perfect stay for that. We would love to come back again when we need downtime. This was one of our favorite VRBO rentals ever.
