Conveniently located near downtown Guerneville, you’re just minutes from wineries, hiking, kayaking, and local shops, making this home a perfect base for your Russian River adventures.
Know Before You Book:
Maximum Occupancy and Quiet Hours: The maximum occupancy at Bay Tree Cottage is 6 people not including kids under 3 years old. Quiet hours are from 10:00 pm until 7:00 am. Outdoor amplified sound is prohibited at all times.
A Note About Our Cleaning Fees: Thank you for supporting our local business! When you stay with us, you support local families at work. We think everyone deserves a decent living wage, and we make sure to set the rates and fees so that our cleaners earn a living wage in beautiful Sonoma County.
Parking: There is parking for a maximum of 2 vehicles. RVs, trailers, and campers are prohibited, per the Sonoma County Vacation Rental Ordinance.
Bed Sizes: First bedroom: Queen bed; Second bedroom: 2 Twin beds (they cannot be pushed together); Living room: Queen sleeper sofa.
Heating: There is a gas wall furnace in the living room and each bedroom has a wall-mounted eco-heater. The fireplace in the living room is available for guests. While there may be firewood at the property, it is not promised. We recommend bringing your own or checking at the property before purchasing wood.
Cooling: There is not A/C at Bay Tree Cottage, but you’re unlikely to need it with the surrounding trees. Freestanding fans are provided for extra warm days.
Kitchen: The kitchen does not include a dishwasher or garbage disposal. There is a small microwave, and the range/oven are propane.
Bathroom: The bathroom has doors to both the dining area and the Queen bedroom. There is a shower in the bathroom.
Location: Bay Tree Cottage is in a cozy residential neighborhood. It is a mix of permanent residents and vacation rentals, families, working folks, and visitors. To honor this balance, we ask guests to park directly in front of the fence and gate and respect the quiet hours in addition to general family-friendly, residential neighborhood expectations. Thank you for helping to continue the tradition of a mutually beneficial relationship between vacation rentals and local community!
Stairs: While the living areas in the house are all one level, there are several steps to the front door and from the back deck to the ground and hot tub. There is a small partial step to the dining area and back deck.
Pet Friendly: This home welcomes up to 2 well-mannered dogs. If you have more than 2 dogs or other types of pets, please contact us to see if exceptions can be made before reserving.
Fencing: The yard is fully fenced, but we always recommend checking the fence line before letting your dog off-leash.
A Note About TVs: The Smart TVs have Netflix, Amazon Video, Hulu, and hundreds of streaming channels. Guests are welcome to bring their login info for these apps.
Additional Notes: While the back deck includes a handmade outdoor fireplace, the local vacation rental ordinance prohibits its use.
Baby/Kid-Specific Items: A pack-n-play and highchair are provided.
River Access: Walk to the Russian River and a couple of neighborhood beaches. Access is a seasonal amenity and only available when conditions allow. Conditions vary from year to year and can change rapidly – use your best judgement to determine your risk level and comfort in the water/physical activity.
