"The owners do not seem to use the VRBO app messages because we never got any response from them or any check/in instructions. Tried messaging multiple times. Finally got through via phone call but with limited English getting instructions for accessing the rental was challenging. If we had gotten instructions via messages we could have translated. Once inside the rental was very spacious. And the kitchen was well equipped. The bathroom was good and the beds were comfortable. The low curlings...

"Das Apartment ( wir hatten Nummer fünf) wurde wirklich sehr hochwertig erneuert. Ein tolles Bad, die bemalten Wände wirklich sehenswert. Auch die Isolation im Dachgeschoss musste wirklich hervorragend gelöst sein, denn bei über 30° Außentemperatur heizte sich das Zimmer nicht auf. Leider war die Kücheneinrichtung sehr minimalistisch. Ein kleiner Kochtopf ohne Deckel, eine kleine Pfanne, keine Schüssel kein Brotmesser, kein Flaschenöffner und so weiter. Wer nur Kaffee trinkt und sich ein Brötchen...

"This is a perfect holiday location....the apartment has everything you need & was spotlessly clean. Gengenbach is probably the prettiest town we saw in the Black Forest & a fantastic base to explore the region. We stayed 11 nights & used the train on the Konus card scheme every day bar 1.....great for taking the stress away & having a German beer or 2! Anja was fantastic in welcoming us & giving lots of tips on where to eat etc....she was always at the end of the phone if we had a question....
