"Stayed for 3 nights on the way from our holiday home to Alicante airport. Maria on recepion was welcoming and very helpful. The girl who ran the cafe/bar was also very attentive. I'm sorry, I didn't get her name. The whole hotel was extremely clean. I would definitely stay again."

"This place was fantastic. It’s right on the beach and the staff are super friendly. La Mata is a great mellow town to make your home base with great restaurants and a couple markets right down the boardwalk. It’s not super fancy, so don’t expect the four seasons, but it’s a great place to stay, highly recommend. "

"First time in Guardamar and I was really pleased with the hotel. Room was fine, food really good and it was just a short walk to the beach. The best thing was the staff They were all so pleasant and helpful in every way. For me the location was excellent. "

Portico Mar - the Beverly Hills of the Costa Blanca

"Had a lovely time even though it was cut short. To be fair was hoping that we'd be able to get a small refund as we were only there for 1 out of 4 weeks due to a family bereavement, but also understand why we didn't. "

Terrace bungalow, sleeps 4-5, 50 m from the sandy beach & close to the centre

Site good but a lot of problems

"The property is near the beach and town but it has a lot of drawbacks Noisy dogs (5) next door that bark every time you go out to terrace or if the neighbours go as well. The property needs an upgrade in that external shutters did not work properly, air con only worked in one room and the gas boiler had an intermittent fault that meant having a cold shower occasionally. Also the general quality of the equipment was poor the bare minimum was supplied, (didn’t even have a salt and pepper pot) Compared to other properties we have rented in Guardamar this was by far the worst we have ever had"
