this is second time I stay in, I recommend to ask for 4th floor and up if you have a light sleep ( upper levels less noise from street). rooms are spacious with good amenities. bed are comfortable as well pillows. close to point of interest restaurants and historic downtown.

The firs room they assigned us had some really bad sewer like odor and they were reluctant to move us to another room but finally did after the bell boy insisted they moved us when he confirmed, then later in the same week, they were doing some painting in a room next to ours and the paint smell was so strong we had to leave, another day in our stay, they failed to properly clean the room, they didn't leave a shower mat, no toilet paper and no water. Our previous stay was great and that was why we came back with additional family members who also got two more rooms, we liked the service in the restaurant and the area is ok and conveniently located but Velvet management really need to improve on the issues mentioned above.
