" From the moment we arrived our host and apartment were brilliant! We arrived early and this was no trouble at all as they were expecting us and let us in early, the apartment was in perfect condition and immaculate. It is in a prime location for the local bus station at only a ten minute walk away. There were lots of local cafes, restaurants and grocery shops around. The terrace was a beautiful bonus as it allowed us to enjoy the Croatian sunshine. The apartment is part of the Private restaurant so they do pop in to the terrace to harvest fresh cuttings for the restaurant, and the staff there were all friendly and welcoming. You’re a twenty to thirty minute walk from the old town and to the beaches or Babin Kuk where you will find a wealth of beautiful views and restaurants, lots of day trips and excursions available. The perfect place to stay that allows you to enjoy Dubrovnik with a quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of the busy old town and tourists. "

"Clean spacious and quiet room. Towel was provided and bedsheets. Close to port and bus station serving other cites in Croatia and Dubrovnik including Direct Bus to Montenegro (3 times a day). Buses to Pile gate and old town. Local supermarket and mall, restaurants. Really good location. Clean bathroom and toilet. Ac was good and working well. Hostel has microwaves and Fridge in the breakfast area. Really great place for mature minds amd quiet away from noise and nuisances.. "

"The host is very nice, as per our request she arranged pick up and drived us to airport when return flight. The fee is reasonable. It looks like Airbnb, share kitchen. The air-conditioner and hot water for shower all are very good. Walk to old town around 30 min, 200 step down the mountain, there are several delicious restaurants"

"Backing up other reviews - yes, the view from the balcony (if you get one) is breathtaking. So is the walk up the hill to get to that view. It's relatively close to everything (old town, supermarkets, port) but probably not the best spot if you're like me and are walking everywhere. After a day of 25k steps, the thought of that hill climb is heartbreaking. The rooms are huge and the bed is comfy but I did lack a table and a mirror in the room. Ants in the kitchen and the appliances and part of the decor is outdated, and initially had that "grandma's home" smell. A shelf in the shower would've been handy. The hosts seemed nice but don't expect to get much information from them - I was checked in by a 9yo who knew just enough English to check me in but not much else. I think there's 4 rooms that share a kitchen and 2 bathrooms and it was nice not to have to wait for a bathroom. All in all, it's a decent place in a decent location which could definitely use an upgrade in certain areas but who couldn't? If you are getting transport, or are a more experienced hill climber, I'd recommend this over a hostel bed due to space, privacy and of course, the view."
