My friend and I stayed here and it was absolutely amazing. The entrance was really cool and whimsical. The Hosts were really nice and welcoming! Overall we had a wonderful relaxed weekend.
Jill greeted us when we arrived and gave us an immediate walk through of the cabin explaining everything and answered questions we had, including dinner recommendations. Everything was as portrayed.
Thank you

I stayed at the rental solo, but it had everything I needed when I wasn't out exploring and hiking. The rental was easy to find based on the directions given to me. Check in/check out was easy and communication with owners was clear.
First off, Ron, the owner is the best. He had great communication and was incredibly helpful. He had great recommendations and made everything very simple. Perfect place for a couple. We used Base Camp as the name implies, as a base camp. We drove to Shenandoah and did a lot of hiking, went to breweries and wineries (that were suggested by Ron and they were all amazing) and the Grand Caverns (Ron also suggested those and he was right again, impressive place). After exploring and doing all the things we wanted to do for the day, we would go back to Base Camp and hang out. Sit on the porch and have wine from one of the nearby wineries or relax inside watching some tv after hiking all day. Base Camp was very clean. Ron provided everything we needed and more. Everything is a short drive away. (Be sure to visit Broad Porch Cafe in Harrisonburg, great coffee and food.) We plan on taking another trip ant some point and will be using Base Camp again.
I stayed here with a friend as I had a race nearby. Ron was super welcoming and gave me a thorough tour of the place. He even gave me recommendations for where to eat in town. I met Debbie on the last day and she asked how my race went. The unit was cozy and welcoming. It had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The tub/shower is so cool!
Deb and her daughter were super accommodating and made the check in process super easy when we arrived! The cabin itself had everything we needed, including tea, coffee and snacks. They even had a fire set up for use at night under their bungalow. I would highly recommend staying here for a hiking trip or a weekend getaway!
My girlfriend and I stayed here the weekend she became my Fiancé. It is an incredibly cozy cottage with the perfect access to all things the area has to offer. We will certainly be looking to book this place again in the future!
Unfortunately my wife and I were unable to make our trip but the property owners were amazing to work with. When we're able to make the trip again, we will be looking to stay here!
