Situated in the upmarket Cap Estate in the northern tip of the island, the Hummingbird Villa offers guests a truly unforgettable tropical retreat. A breathtaking panoramic view of the surrounding tropical landscape, the nearby Rodney Bay and the Caribbean Sea unfolds from the villa's two large terraces. This property is positioned on the hillside and has been built to cleverly use the Atlantic breezes as it's cooling engine; the sea-facing side of the house has louvre windows and foldback louvre French doors which can be opened to the terrace and surrounding lush tropical garden, providing a unique tree house feel, described by previous guests as “something you simply have to experience in person!”
The Space
The half moon shaped villa (originally called the Banana House when it was first built and still known as such by some locals) is laid out over two floors. The villa has a gorgeous kidney shaped pool with an adjoining pool deck equipped with sun loungers and parasols.
When you enter the Hummingbird Villa on the ground floor you will find yourself in a large open living space with a spacious kitchen and an adjoining dining area which flows beautifully onto a comfortable lounge area. This entire space opens up to the main terrace through foldback louvre French doors and windows. You can dine on the terrace under the shade of a parasol or rest in a hammock while enjoying the unforgettable views and stunning sunsets. Hummingbirds can often be seen collecting nectar from the flowering trees and bushes surrounding the terrace, giving the villa it's present name.
The ground floor also has two double bedrooms. The first bedroom can be set up either as a superking or a twin and the windows open up to the lush tropical garden. The second bedroom has a queen size bed and an en-suite bathroom. This bedroom opens up directly to the pool area.
The expansive master bedroom is situated in the privacy of the top floor, with a large en-suite bathroom and foldback louvre French doors opening onto a separate terrace which, due to it's elevation, enjoys even more impressive panoramic views.

This villa has no built-in air-conditioning; ceiling and standing fans along with fresh hillside breezes keep this villa cool
All three bathrooms have been recently refurbished and have waterfall showers
The lounge has a three seater sofa and two giant armchairs from which you can watch a 43 inch smart TV
The villa (including the pool area) have unlimited WIFI
The villa has a monitored alarm system and is protected by a lockable front gate
Mosquito nets are provided in all bedrooms
The villa is not suitable for young children due to the hillside position and high terraces. A waiver form needs to be signed for children 12 and under.
A housekeeper is in attendance six days a week (excluding Sundays) from 9am to 3pm
The housekeeper can be asked to cook meals but guests are expected to provide the ingredients
A gardener attends on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and observes a quiet policy, without the use of any motorised gardening equipment
