"This is a lovely little second floor gîte. Only two rooms plus a bathroom and balcony but everything you will need including a red squirrel, a view of the vines and air conditioning. It is comfortable, well equipped and tastefully decorated.The owners make this clear in their description but it wouldn’t suit people with limited mobility or small children. The tiny hamlet is close to a number of famous wine villages with restaurants ranging from the hearty to the refined. There is much to see...

It is a tranquil spot in the countryside yet very close to the magical villages of Séguret and Sablet, while being only 10 minutes from Vaison La Romaine with it’s incredible Roman ruins and myriad restaurants and shops. "The house in Montaulieu has beautiful views from the roof top terrace and a shaded terrace in the small garden in front of the house, which was very nice during the heat. The interior has a nice modern touch with a spacious kitchen and living room and a ensuite bedroom upstairs. Another bedroom is in the basement and has a separate entrance. We were very well taken care of from the friendly owner who lives next door. He arranged a man to repair the wifi that didn't function very well first but...
