Great custkmer services. Bubbly and inviting staff, helpful and no bother to answer questions. Property is adequate hallways a little outdated looking but doesnt affect overall stay and experience. Room was cosy, warm and quiet. Nice to have a balcony that was private we were able to open it up and let air and natural light in the room. I would stay here again based on my experience.

When I arrived I was very impressed with outstanding customer service and hospitality. Loved the room and it was warm as you walked in. One thing I did not like was the old buildings hotel rooms next to it. But overall I will definitely coming back.

Besides the couple in the next room with 30 seconds of passion it was very quiet and the staff were super friendly and nice. The room was clean and the balcony over looking the river was enjoyable!

Copthorne was Good One Night Stay
We stayed in Greymouth on our way to the glaciers. The Copthorne was a good place to stay as it was clean and fairly modern. The room was comfortable for our one night stay. Parking was ample and free. We checked in about 6:30 pm and asked about dinner reservations. We were told the restaurant was closed for a private party (bus load of Chinese tour group). We found a good substitute about 4 blocks walk at Speight’s Ale House. We returned to the hotel about 8:30 pm and was going to get a beer at the bar but was told it was closed. For breakfast the next morning, we ate at Sevenpenny which was about a block walk from the hotel (we saw on our way to the ale house). Their breakfast was the best we had on our tour of NZ.
