"This was our favorite place we stayed during our 2 weeks of travel around Scotland. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room had wonderful amenities and loads of space. The private bar for hotel guests was our favorite. They had a fire going and one of their staff members was a wonderful mixologist that made wonderful drinks. The scenery is so gorgeous! You can walk out of the hotel and immediate hit a walking or hiking trail. We could have spent weeks hiking them all. It is also a great location to easily drive to hike the Old Man of Storr or the Fairy Pools. Great central location. The general manager worked so incredibly hard. He was running the hotel front desk, the bar, the restaurant, and he helped his employees out with everything. Food at the restaurant was delicious. Cannot recommend this place enough! "

"My husband and I had a rather interesting stay on the Isle of Skye during our Scotland vacation, but our stay at The Bracken Hide was one of the highlights of our time there. The property is gorgeous and in a perfect location...walkable to the city centre but just far enough away that you can really appreciate the Skye feeling...beautiful views! The bungalows were very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the heated floors! They are a bit small, and there's not a whole lot of room for large amounts of luggage. However, all of the other amenities are there...TV, coffee, tea, etc. The gravel pathways to each area of the resort are a bit difficult to walk, particularly if you have rolling luggage or physical limitations. However, the staff have golf carts and can carry you/your luggage to and from your room as needed. All of the staff were so kind, caring, and helpful. For instance, on the evening we checked in, we were late arriving to the hotel due to car trouble, and we were starving. The kitchen and restaurant staff graciously agreed to stay after the restaurant had closed to accommodate us! And the food was amazing!!! Also during our stay, my husband became ill and was unable to travel. The hotel willingly accommodated us for an additional night, and the staff were so attentive and helpful. This hotel is a bit pricey compared to other accommodations in the area, but the quality of the facilities and service make it worthwhile!"

"The property was spacious, clean and well presented. The enclosed garden was perfect for our dogs and the hard floors were easily kept clean from muddy paws. The location of the property allowed us to visit many places during our stay and the caretakers local knowledge allowed us to find a beach close by for the dogs to play in the water. All in all, an excellent place to be in and be based from."

"This was a LOVELY property and the owners are so kind. The view alone is worth booking for. Their restaurant (at the hotel) serves delicious dinner as well and is a short walk away. "

"My partner and I absolutely loved our stay at this hotel! It’s super beautiful with historical charm and elegance. We sat by the fireplace with a delicious old fashioned after a long day of traveling. The dinner we had was phenomenal!!! I ordered the Cullen skink which is now a new favorite - it was out of this world good! My partner had the monkfish which was also just as delicious. The staff were all super friendly and helpful making for a lovely holiday for us. Our room also had a cute outdoor balcony (1st floor) where we could sit outside with a coffee in the morning and see a nice view of the loch. All in all we loved our stay and would definitely be back! "

"The staff were all really nice and the rooms were clean and comfortable. It was a bit further off the beaten path but still close enough. The included breakfast was very good. "
