I travel a lot and this was one of the best and one of my most favorite places to stay. The house is very new and very clean. It had pretty much everything that one needs, including grill and a solo fire pit. The house is in a secluded location although you can see immediate neighbor houses (there are 4 or 6 houses close by). There is lake access (3-5 minute walk) for swimming, fishing, and kayaking/boating. There were three kayaks (2 adult and 1 child) and a board. The house is located at the tip of Beaver Cove. You have to travel 4 miles on an unpaved road but that was not an issue. There are multiple trails near the house, including the Burnt Jacket trail which is very easy but quite nice. We actually saw several deer and a moose near the property. The town of Greenville is only 20 minutes away and it has several restaurants, grocery store, etc. One important note - when traveling in the area do not rely on GPS - ask for advise or check with a paper map (e.g., you cannot drive to Kineo - you must go to Rockwood and take a boat; do not drive north to get to Baxter park, you should go south through Greenville, Monson, Milo, Millinocket, etc. - it is longer but you will drive on normal paved roads).
Also the host is very responsive. We had a few minor issues with the house (very normal for any stay) and the guys showed up within an hour and fixed everything.
I highly recommend this place and will definitely consider staying there in the future.
