This was a great place to stay with old word charm. If you are looking for a quiet getaway with a beautiful view of the ocean this is it. The breakfast that we had were much better that what you could get in town. My wife and I can't wait to go back.
We booked this property to celebrate our 17th anniversary for an 1 night night getaway. Upon check in we were greeted with the most delicious homemade cupcakes with our name on it and warmly welcomed by Clay, the property host. We parked right in front, and walked to various bars and restaurants so it was so convenient and vibrant and didn’t have to worry about driving. On the way back we saw the most amazing moonset on the water (the property is basically on the water separated by a street), there’s a dock you can walk out to. Clay cooked us the best farm to table breakfast, it was so delicious, he really takes the time and effort to make everything perfect. We will definitely stay here again!
Clay was the perfect host. Friendly and very helpful. And an amazing baker! Our breakfast was outstanding. Our room was very cozy and had a great view. We really enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful old property across street from the water. Breakfast was amazing. However, due to the age of the property, there are certain aspects that are acceptable but not optimal. However the property scores a 10 on quaint.
Loved our stay at Stirling House. Room very clean and comfortable. Beautiful views of waterfront. Breakfast was Delicious! Great place to stay if enjoying the North Fork Wineries!!
The Stirling house had such incredible charm and ambiance. The owner, Clay, could not be more of a gentleman. Extremely welcoming, kind and accommodating. There is nothing that could have been done to make this trip better. Top notch! A
Our host was incredibly nice and accomodating, especially with breakfast, which we needed at a different time than normally scheduled. Our room was very nice and clean. Our only “complaints” would be that you tend to hear everything (voices, TV, talking) from the next room and that the bed was very firm so I had a painful time sleeping on it. That being said, we realize the house is very old (the next room neighbors kept the noise level down at the appropriate time in the evening) and some people may prefer a firmer mattress. It was walking distance to shopping and eating in warmer weather and overall a very pleasant experience!
What a delightful B&B! Clay couldn't be more helpful. He's a great cook and has done a fabulous job appointing the house. It's great to stay somewhere you can be comfortable in and not overwhelmed by! I was in Suffolk on business and decided to extend my stay. This was the perfect choice!
