"The room was nice, good layout, and the sofa area in the conservatory and outdoor space was a bonus. And it was quiet too, which I was worried about as it's a pub. The room wasn't super clean, there were dead bugs and stuff. And some of the room felt tired and tatty. But that wouldn't stop me staying again. However, the biggest issue was there is no wifi in the rooms, and the phone signal isn't great. As I was there to work it was a problem. "

"The service was outstanding, staff on duty during my stay were above and beyond nice. They made me feel like a regular with how friendly they were. The food was delicious both evening and breakfast. Check in and check out was easy. The room I had was not like any images on the website but the bed was comfy and it was as clean as they could make it (needs updating, black bits in corner of bath seal and carpet needs modernisation). For the price I paid it did me for the night and incredible price...

We had a very comfortable night; the rooms were clean with the usual facilities (tea and coffee) that you’d expect with bottled water and fresh milk provided in the fridge. Bas and his chef Derek bent over backwards to accommodate during what was a very difficult time for them at the tail end of the second lockdown.
