True cabin experience , We were so lucky to come across this gem and the couple of nights spent there were not nearly long enough.
Super helpful owners and although there were other cabins nearby we felt very secluded and relaxed, never crowded
Hosts were very conscientious and allowed us to check in early and made sure we had everything we needed. Clear instructions, very well maintained property, excellent location. Superb!
We had a wonderful weekend staying at the cottage. It is very convenient to Great Barrington and the surrounding area where there is so much to do and explore. Communication with our hosts was excellent and they even left a treat for us as a surprise when we checked in.
Lindsey and Steve were great hosts. The house was very clean, the surroundings were calm, the lake was beautiful. Perfect getaway for us!

My friends and I had a wonderful stay at the cottage! There was just enough room to have together time yet also have our separate spaces. The lake side neighborhood was beautiful to walk around and it was wonderful to know we had the option to canoe. Lindsey thoughtfully made sure we had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. If I find myself headed back to the Berkshires, I’d stay here again!
Great place located on Lake Buel, felt welcomed immediately by amount of communication and information pre arrival. Upon arrival we were greeted by a personalized note and a treat from the owners. It was relaxing and we enjoyed the area immensely. As a native to the Berkshires It was a real joy spending time in an area that I don't often get to visit. So much history, culture, and charm.
This is a wonderfully simple cabin that has everything you need and nothing you don’t. It is cozy, comfortable, and charming. We were here for two days and managed to swim in the lake twice, canoe once, s’mores over the fire pit, and relax a ton. Great hosts who checked in and made sure we knew the lay of the land. We really loved this spot and will be back.
This cottage was perfect for my son’s family. Clean, well equipped, just the right size for their family of four. The property manager left a sweet treat in the refrigerator for them…so kind! They liked the cottage so much that we have already booked it for another stay!
We enjoyed a quiet, relaxing stay and loved everything about this house! It’s steps away from an amazing lake and minutes from Great Barrington. Owners were super attentive & responsive and left us delicious pastries upon our arrival. We enjoyed the canoe and brought our own paddle boards for added fun. The kitchen is well equipped and the house is quaint and clean. We would definitely come back and stay again. Thank you so much for an amazing stay.
We only stayed for two nights, but this two bedroom cottage was perfect for the four of us. The bedrooms were small yet comfortable. There was plenty of space for us to spread out in the open living/dining/kitchen area. We were also impressed how clean the cottage was on our arrival. Parking for two cars was a bit tricky since there was not much of a driveway, but the garage was available.
We're planning on coming back. Quite tucked away cabin on Lake Buel. Made the stay memorable from the get-go. We came here for a birthday weekend. They bought a delicious chocolate raspberry cake to welcome us. The directions to the property were clear and concise. We had 1 small hiccup forgetting keys in the house after we locked the door. They came by and unlocked it while we were out. Highly recommend this cabin.

House was nice. A little musty from the dense area that it is located in. Yard area need some TLC. Hard to locate after dark. But the trip was good and the lake is beautiful.
A very nice stay. Communication with the host was great. We kept bothering her with questions and she responded quickly. The place is really beautiful. We lit a fire each night and played some of the provided games and watched Netflix. It's an easy drive to Great Barrington to get groceries at the Berkshire coop. We also took advantage of our surroundings and hikes on the AT a little each day. Next time we'll use the host's canoe to explore Lake Buel.
The only minor complaint I would have is the bed. We're used to a king at home so sleeping was a little tough. And, it's creaky. But it was very comfortable. Just smaller than we're used to.
I highly recommend this VRBO. We'll be back!
This delightful cottage is exceptional in every regard - comfort, cleanliness, and location!
And the hosts, Lindsey and Steven, are by far the best hosts in the Berkshires!
Steve and Lindsey were super responsive and also proactive. We stayed for about one month. They provided a canoe and when they heard we had friends coming up gave us access to second one.
When the weather turned unseasonably cold this summer they brought over space heaters in case we needed.
The house was well equipped and the location is an easy drive to Great Barrington and the various cultural sites in the Berkshires and Columbia County.
Lindsey and Steven were an absolute pleasure to deal with. They were thoughtful and very communicative. The cottage was immaculate and the setting was so very tranquil. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.
Great location just one house back from Lake Beul with a 3-minute walk to the dock shared with several other houses. We spent most of our time at Tanglewood soaking in some great music but, when at the house we very much enjoyed the outdoor features. We had a small fire in the little fire pit on the patio every night; the bugs did not carry us away. We are regular Tanglewood folks and will try to rent this house again.
Our son and his family enjoyed their stay immensely!! This was a repeat visit from last year. While everything was great last year, they loved the work that has been done to make the place even better. They are hoping to return again next summer!!
