"the property is adjacent to the road access to the beach. we bought fresh crab in Tokeland....delicious. Its the best stocked kitchen we have ever stayed at. including ground coffee, all the spices, oils and seasonings. we will go again.......when its a little warmer (23 deg this morning but it warms up quickly) If you go near a new moon you will be able to see the stars like you have never seen them before. bring a sleeping bag so you can lie on the deck and see the stars, planets and meteors. Great wifi so we could continue to watch our favorite TV series on Hulu or whatever."

"Gonna point a few things out that would have made our stay at the Sportsman's cabin that may sound picky, but the following did detract from our stay in their totality. First impressions of the cabin is it is clean and nicely furnished. The leather couch with its recliner function was really comfortable. The cabin is right on the access road to the beach! Once we got in and started getting situated we noticed the missing/broken slats on some of the blinds. Turned on the tv and the picture was terrible. Tried to set the tv to a mode that gave a better picture but wasn't able to. I just think it needs to be replaced. Pots and pans were dented, bent and scraped. They need to be replaced asap. Of the three light bulbs above the bathroom mirror 2 of them were out. I just went to the general store up the road and bought a package of three and replaced them. The beds were a bit hard for us and we really like a cold room to sleep in and love lots of covers. The bedding was set up for summer. Light blanket and sheets. Has to pull the sheets off the second bed to keep warm. Had to keep the heater running which clicks on and off which was disruptive to sleep. Just a few simple detailed fixes would have made it a much better stay for us. "
