Lovely Easter egg surprise in my room filled with local chocolates. Extra attention to detail. Cab outside the doorstep and quick ride to train station. Romantic."

"We only stayed for one night whilst the Christmas market was on. Hotel is very convenient to the centre and trams are a short walk away. The gentleman on reception was lovely and very helpful. "The hotel was very nice and clean and its in the heart of Ghent. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. I cut my finger during the holiday and one of the female staff went out of her way to get me some gloves to protect my finger so i can shower. The feel inside the hotel and in the reception area is very comfortable and they provide you with unlimited hot drinks during your stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel."

"Smart and quite trendy renovation of old monastery. There was a cold tap alongside my wash basin but no hot tap. Very odd - perhaps a legacy from monastic times ! Ha ha. I was on first floor and never did find the toilet so I always have to go downstair to the first floor to the toilet. Perhaps there was hot water and a first floor toilet but never found them. "

"We had a wonderful weekend here and can’t recommend it enough. Beautiful property lovingly restored. The owners were perfect hosts and the hotel and gardens are a calming oasis in the middle of town. "Great location, although staying over the Easter weekend meant the bells of the cathedral next door ringing well into the night and continuing after midnight on Good Friday and Easter Sunday, although this is no fault of the hotel. Staff were generally really friendly, only one was a little blunt. Provide you with a really helpful map and guide to Ghent on arrival which was very useful. Close to tram links and nice bar that’s open every night with a variety of drinks. Breakfast was really good....
