Or maybe you feel like soaking in the hot tub with your fav few people and gazing up at the star filled night sky? Are you a movie lover?? Stroll on down to the cozy basement, cuddle up on the oversized couch to watch your fav film. Are you looking for some adventure... come and hike on some of our trails winding through the acreage or grab a guide and go fishing on the Muskegon River. Riverbend is a family sized cabin located high on the river. Lots of wildlife stroll through this acreage. We have direct access to the river and it is a beautiful hike down to the river front. Fishing, kayaking, and swimming await you down on this peaceful bend of the river. There is a large fire pit out back for those wonderful summer bonfires and a wood burning fireplace inside for those snowy winter nights (Firewood provided on site). We have 2 bikes, a basketball hoop, 4 kayaks, a ping-pong table, and corn hole all provided on the property for summer stays! There is plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the peaceful scenery and a gas grill for the grill master to make some grub.

Each room inside has been designed to suit your needs and provide a peaceful stay. There is a specific workspace, game/puzzle table, large sectional, and board games/cards for indoor activities.

Great Place with a Few Caveats
A beautiful property and home. Spacious. Sprawling acreage. Peaceful hiking. Quiet area. Just what we needed. Great for families. Stayed for five days without internet. The hosts/owners were attentive and communicative, but were never able to solve the problem. They discounted our stay, which we appreciated, but we would never have booked such an expensive week in such a beautiful place without internet, and the need to drive into town every time we needed to connect. It was a hot week, and the thermostat upstairs controls then entire home, which meant that either the main floor (living area) would be too warm, or the lower level (bedrooms) would be too cold. The owners brought a space heater for use in the room of our seven-month old grandson. Additionally, the main sliding door to the deck was broken. A minor inconvenience (as we used the side door), but annoying all the same. Having said all that, we would certainly recommend.

The place was beautiful, clean, not cluttered, photos were pretty accurate. Beautiful outdoor views. The only suggestion is that they provide more silverwear. Otherwise, no complaints, we all had a great time!!

Beautiful house
The house is beautiful, and the location is fantastic. The walk down to the river is further than expected, and if it's rains it could be slippery. But overall it was a fantastic house with all the amenities.

The kids were never without something to do!
It was like our own little island of fun....most of us never left the property during our stay! Lots of room, comfortable beds, plenty of seating. Could have used more bath towels...only one per person. Thank you for plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, trash bags, dishwasher pods. Disappointed in the cleanliness of cabinets and refrigerator...had to scrub pots before using. Basketball net, back door onto the deck in need of repair. HVAC on both floors operates on upstairs thermostat only...had one night of 58 degrees on the bottom floor with three of the bedrooms. Didn't realize that the downstairs thermostat was a "dummy" until we called...owner showed up first thing in the morning to explain and check on it. Had lots of fun and wonderful memories made!!!

Perfect Private getaway!
This property is beautiful, clean, lots of privacy, with so much to explore outside in the woods and by the river! Its a great place to keep kids off of their electronics while exploring outdoors. But there's also plenty of room to stretch out in the cabin and unwind after the day is done. This was everything our family wanted for a quick weekend getaway!

Winter weekend
We had an amazing stay here at this house. It was super cozy with the snow all around. We enjoyed the fire and the hot tub every day. The primary bedroom was very comfortable. The driveway was a little rough with our minivan the first night. If there is a lot of snow you may need AWD/FWD. We would definitely return.

Nice Getaway
Stayed here for a long 3 day weekend. Area is quiet and secluded. Residence was as pictured. Fully stocked kitchen with utensils and tools. Has blender and coffee pot. Rooms were clean with fresh linens. Showers are small but adequate. Fire pit was huge and lovely. Plenty of fire wood to enjoy! Outdoor kayaks did work, some are missing the carry strap. Has a small trailer, requires 2" ball that you can tow kayaks with to a boat launch about 1.5 miles away. The river is a lovely strip of sandy beach with a babbling brook coming directly into the Muskegon river. The walk down to the river is VERY STEEP. You will need shoes or hiking boots to make it down there. If you are not reasonably fit you will be short of breath walking back up to the house. If you are going to try to take the kayaks back up to the house from the river bank, it will be a two person job or use the provided kayak taxi to get them up the steep hill. My 15 yo son and I found this tiring. Esp with the 4 kayaks. Tried fly fishing along the property but did not have any bites. Overall, a nice piece of property to stay at but you will have to work to get down and back up from the river. If it was winter with snow, I would not attempt to go down to the river.

Amazing!!!
I cannot say enough good things about this home. It is just amazing. The home is very clean, beds are very comfy, and the views are just beautiful. Loved drinking coffee in the morning on the front porch watching the deer, wild turkeys and all the wildlife. The dock on the river is so very peaceful, we never wanted to leave. If you are looking to get away from it all this is the place. We will definitely be booking another trip in the fall. This home has everything you could ever need.

We hosted our family’s annual Easter celebration here! The location is private with beautiful views all around. The kids enjoyed an outdoor Easter egg hunt, playing ping-pong , soaking in the hot tub, playing basketball in the driveway, the hiking trails, with evening s’mores around the fire pit & Family board games. The house & beds are clean & comfortable with soft linens. The basement is perfect for cuddling up and watching movies! Such a relaxing and memorable weekend.

Silence on the River
An absolutely beautiful home. Private. Scenic (even in February). Clean. Tasteful decor. Comfortable beds, couches, chairs, etc. Everything here just oozes relaxation. The property owners were fantastic with answering the few questions we had before arriving. Once there, there was nothing to ask. Everything is set up to accommodate. There is a house booklet that answers any questions & was helpful to us when we wanted to turn off outdoor lights to let the stars blow our minds from the hot tub. There are hundreds of Vrbo homes... We will return to this particular one multiple times. The Riverbed Ranch is truly a special slice of heaven in Michigan.

Absolutely Relaxing! A prayer of a home!
Incredible location, not to far from GR but far enough to be in the country. Country style doughnuts so close! Either at Nelsons or Bailey. We tried both, I would suggest Bailey location!! This home is worth Absolutely worth every penny! This home is INCREDIBLE!! The location is so far off the road, it’s as you have your own island in the woods. Every evening the deer and squirrels would be within sight distance to observe. The River held her own stunning beauty! We will be back! This home is MUCH, MUCH more than the photos capture. I promise you, you will feel like a big hug was wrapped around you staying here. I asked the people if they prayed over this home as it just felt so different, that I had to believe God was involved and they answered, “it was their prayer that people would feel at peace in their home”. That is very accurate statement. God for sure lives in this home! Loved it here!

Idyllic getaway
I don’t know where to begin—we loved this place so much! The house is huge and also cozy at the same time. It has a beautiful view of the Muskegon River from the back deck, and tons of land to hike and explore, even in the winter. I was struck by how quiet it was around the house. We saw quite a few deer in the front forested area. I surprised my husband with this getaway for his 40th birthday. Friends met us there and surprised my husband also. When we got there, our friends had chili in the oven, music playing on the provided speaker and a fire burning in the gorgeous fireplace. I thought I was in heaven. Our friends were waiting for us in the 8 person hot tub. “Relaxing” is not a strong enough word for this place—it provided such a restful environment for us to be together. When we had a question about the house, the hosts came over within minutes to help us, and even went above and beyond by bringing us coffee from a local coffee shop. Being locals themselves, they were able to make great recommendations for us. They were extremely responsive to our every question and need before and during our stay. Now for the house…the owners spared no expense in making this the most comfortable and lovely spot. Not only were the design choices perfection, but everything was of high quality, from the furniture and kitchenware down to the high thread count sheets and toiletry products. The shampoo/conditioner/body wash/lotion sets smelled so good and were so nice on the hair and skin. There were plenty of hooks in the bathrooms and even designated towels and and cute plastic cups for the hot tub. We just kept thinking, “wow, they thought of everything.” Modish Estates really knows how to do hospitality!! I hesitate to even say all of this so strongly, because I’m afraid they’ll be too busy for us to visit in the future. But seriously, we are already planning our next visit. It was the perfect getaway!!!
