Weavers Cottage - The best holiday cottage In Cartmel Village

Weavers Cottage is a large luxury detached 4 bedroom cottage located in small Lake District village of Cartmel.

Please note we only rent out our cottages for the following options:-

Full week from a Monday or Friday
3 night weekend of Friday to Monday
4 night mid-week break of Monday to Friday

The only exceptions to this is Christmas, New Years Eve.

This gorgeous cottage has 4 double bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, 1 of which is en-suite and has private off road parking for 4 cars.

Full central heating and hot water are included in the price.

The large kitchen is packed with Kichen Aid appliances that include a large stainless steel fridge freezer and a large range cooker has 3 ovens, a wok burner and 4 gas burners.

Throughout the kitchen there are several ‘Kitchen Aid’ electrical items including an espresso/cappuccino machine, large built in microwave, a large built in wine cooler, toaster, kettle etc.

The kitchen opens out into a large sunny conservatory where you'll find a huge dining table made out of reclaimed wood that seats 8 people.
The conservatory look out across the garden and to open fields beyond and is perfect for entertaining and watching the wildlife that frequents the garden.

The washing machine, tumble drier, iron, ironing board, stair gate and high chair are all located out the way in the utility room.

The sitting room has seating for eight and has a large LCD TV with all the 'Smart TV' internet options connected such as Neflix.

The cottage has 2 large downstairs double bedrooms, both of which are individually styled and furnished and equipped to a very high standard.

One bedroom has a super king sized bed that can be unzipped to create a twin bedroom with 2 single beds. Please let us know if this is your requirement. The 2nd bedroom has a kind sized bed.

Also downstairs is a luxurious, brand new bathroom with a large bath, shower, basin and toilet. The contemporary styled bathroom is fully tiled and very chic and stylish.

Upstairs you’ll find the master bedroom with an en-suite ‘wet room’. This luxurious bathroom has a large walk in shower, basin and toilet.
The bedroom has a king size bed, stylish furniture and a flat screen TV with the full ‘Sky TV’ package.

Also upstairs is another large fully tiled bathroom with a roll top, claw foot, free standing bath, toilet and basin.
The 4th bedroom is again provided with a king size bed and quality bedroom furniture.

The large garden on all 4 sides of the cottage has views across open fields and has a lovely mixture of mature shrubs and a large lawned area that is ideal for ball games and garden recreation.

To the side of the conservatory you’ll find a patio area with a large garden table and eight chairs along with the BBQ for those wonderful al-fresco meals.

The garden is enclosed with trees, shrubs, walls and fencing.

Weavers Cottage was originally part of looming workshop that was in the garden.

The original sign for the looming workshop hangs proudly on the wall at the end of the conservatory. Throughout the cottage you’ll find old ink drawings of local looming & weaving etc.

Weavers Cottage is the best holiday cottage in Cartmel village.

We are happy to welcome up to 2 dogs. We charge £20 per stay for 1 dog or £30 for 2 dogs.

Please note that you must notify us if you wish to bring a dog before you book.

All 4 pubs in Cartmel are dog and child friendly.

Part of the information pack we send our guests includes details of some quick walks from the doorstep for dog owners and a guide to all our favourite pubs, restaurants and places to buy local food. We have indicated on here the pubs that I know to be dog and child friendly.

Good property
We had a lovely stay but found the property short of glasses , the garden wasn’t fully secure as the dogs could easily get out and although we were self catering you would expect to find a few condiments or foil etc. Small things but over all a very well presented property in a great village location with ample off street parking for 2 cars.

Fantastic property in a great village
This cottage sits at the edge of Cartmel. It is a one minute walk to the nearest bar/restaurant and a 3-5 minute walk into the centre of the village. The property is well apportioned and fitted out to a high standard. There is a great garden for children to run around in if required. Cartmel is beautiful and a great base from which to discover the lake district. It is home to a couple of great gastro pubs and Simon Rogan 1 and 2 star Michelin restaurants. We had a great stay.

Beautiful Cottage in Pretty Cartmel
We had a lovely stay in Weaver's Cottage. The accommodation is welcoming and comfortable, with amenities and luxury touches that add quality to the stay. The cottage is spacious and light and sleeps 8 in 4 double rooms. Cartmel has lots to offer in terms of walks and amazing food. It's a good base from which to explore the Lakes.

Beautiful cottage, perfect location
We have just returned from a week in Cartmel, staying at Weavers Cottage. What a delightful cottage this is, you feel at home as soon as you enter the beautiful dining kitchen which is full of high end appliances and leads to the spacious conservatory dining area and sunny outside seating area. The cottage was immaculately clean and the beds lovely and comfortable. It is in a ideal location, being only a few minutes walk from the racecourse and the centre of Cartmel with its many pubs and cafes. There are many lovely walks that can be done from the cottage but if you prefer to travel further afield Cartmel is also a perfect location for exploring the beautiful Lake District. We would not hesitate to return.

Location, location & a fab cottage !
Fab location and a beautiful cottage to stay in = perfect holiday. We ate out in Cartmel nearly everyday and were never disappointed - also breakfast rolls from Wellbread most days set us up for our days out exploring the beautiful countryside and must mention Unsworth's Yard for beer in the afternoon sun in their lovely courtyard - we also had the added bonus of bluebells in the racecourse woods and on our walk over the top to Grange and we were very lucky to have lots of sunshine :)

Beautifully appointed family cottage
From first booking to leaving on Friday this holiday proved to be easily organised with support from owner and Home away. The house is very tastefully decorated and fabulously equipped kitchen, although it does require a little reading of instruction manuals for some of the wonderful gadgets. The conservatory is an excellent area to chill relax and spend time with family. We are a group of four adults and two under three year olds. Plenty of space for reading chatting, drawing colouring, plasticine model making, and not forgetting Easter cake baking. The local village is quaint and spacious for a gentle stroll with Cartmel racecourse in easy reach of the cottage on foot. Highly recommend the Lakeland Segway tour followed by a family afternoon of "Bank robbing" at the nearby Escape rooms. Thanks Simon

Beautiful house
We loved the house and would recommend it. Anything we could suggest that would have made it better. For us it would have been just a couple of small things. Better Pillows and few more basic kitchen items like practical large frying pans for breakfasts and bowls for serving. But overall it was a wonderful stay.

Fabulous Cottage
We were a party of six who spent 4 nights at The Weavers. When we arrived we were all pleasantly surprised that the cottage was exactly how it looked in the photos. Most of our time was spent in the conservatory enjoying each others company - a very sociable space. The kitchen was fitted out with top end appliances and gadgets which in our opinion was probably not needed because you had to read the manuals before using anything. That said the toaster was excellent! The bedrooms were nicely decorated and the beds were very comfortable. All in all The Weavers is a great place to stay and would have no hesitation in recommending this gem to anyone.

As a group of eight busy forty some things we like to go away a couple of times a year together and just relax - we certainly managed that! We were delighted to stay in such a lovely property. The kitchen was extremely well stocked and the house was beautifully clean. All the bedrooms were spacious and comfortable (I think all beds were king size) Located only a short walk from Cartmel centre (I would take a couple of head torches for the walk back from Cartmel at nigh time) and on the doorstep of The Pig and Whistle pub, lovely pub / food and very welcoming. We are all keen to book again for next year.
