Nearby is the picturesque village of Cartmel, where visitors can stroll through charming streets, taste the famous sticky toffee pudding and unwind in a variety of cosy pubs, Michelin-star adorned dining spots, and unique shops. It is also the home of the Cartmel Racecourse. The coastal village of Grange-over-Sands is only 3.5 miles away, offering a lovely promenade and various attractions easily accessed from Cark Train Station, situated a stones throw away from the property. With close links to the central lakes by car, bus or train, this makes the perfect base for uncovering the Lake District’s many treasures.
This cottage is oozing with character and is a historical 1856 home-from-home retreat, offering a welcoming high standard throughout, which can be felt as soon as you walk through the front door into the delightfully spacious hallway. The combined living room and dining area, makes the perfect place to cosy up together and enjoy your favourite films on the Smart TV infront of the warm open fire. The family can get together around the dining table and enjoy planning the days events over breakfast. The hallway further opens to show off the well-equipped kitchen. Both young and old can enjoy the downstairs games room, which is the perfect hideaway for fun. On the first floor you can find three of the beautifully decorated bedrooms, made up of a king size bedroom, a double and a twin room. Also, on this floor you can find the well-appointed family shower room. The second floor provides another well decorated cosy double room with a convenient bathroom, beautifully decorated with forest hues.
Outside, you can make the most of the sunshine on the enclosed rear patio, which benefits from ample seating to dine al-fresco with friends, and a private passageway perfect for bringing bikes back or returning from a dog walk. Parking can be found off road in many places close to the cottage, free of charge and you can park up to unload right outside the front door.
