The Westside Getaway is a charming 3 bed, 2 bath cottage in the city of Grand Marais. It is fully renovated. Located conveniently on Highway 61, only 1 mile from downtown, halfway between the Harbor Light and Putt and Pets mini golf! Comfortable and cozy with an electric fireplace. We offer a fully stocked kitchen. Cleanliness is very important to us! Great parking for multiple vehicles, as well as trailers.

Great Place!
Very clean, they thought of all our needs plus met some they probably didn’t realize, like lots of parking for 3 trucks a large boat and a tiny camper as well as the locking shed we made use of to store our bikes and fishing gear. We ll definitely be booking again!

Very clean and close to town
We had a great stay at the westside getaway. The place was very clean, had everything we needed and was a short walk to downtown. Nancy was very good at responding to any questions we had. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful home, very comfortable with plenty of room to stretch out. It was immaculate and the kitchen was very well stocked. Comfortable beds with very cozy linens. We would all go back to our vacation home again.

Photography excursion
2nd time here in two years for our annual North Shore winter photo trip. Great place, fits our needs for cooking in, lots of kitchen equipment, utensils, and gadgets for prepping. Hosts are wonderful. When coming to this area we’ll definitely look to stay here again.

Perfect family stay!
This little home has everything you need for a family hunting/hiking/leaf watching weekend! We enjoyed the fully equipped kitchen for cooking. Comfy beds with sound machine (have to buy one!) and lovely bathrooms. So close to downtown Grand Marais too! Our fur baby says thanks for the nice bowls too!

The property is very well appointed. Everything you could need was there and the beds were so comfortable. It was great place to relax after a day of mountain biking, hiking & exploring the Gunflint Trail. Would highly recommend.

My parents came up from NE to experience the North Shore and to celebrate their 40th anniversary. It was a great weekend. The house was centrally located for our plans and had all of the amenities we needed!

We had a great time, the cottage was exceptionally clean, more than well appointed, everything we could possible need was there as well as lots of extras. The bottle of wine, and puppy blankets were especially nice touches. Thank you so much for a great get-away. We will definitely book again.

From the minute we drove up to the front door we were impressed! The place was clean, well stocked with all the essential kitchen items, plenty of linens, best beds I’ve slept on in any rental and location was the perfect distance to shopping, eating and hiking. This property is newly remodeled. We stayed here as our headquarters for a local fishing trip. The home had everything we needed. It is clean and comfortable. The taller ceilings really set it apart from a typical dark cabin.

We have relatives in the Lutsen/Grand Marais area. It's always fun Up North...visiting family, shopping, hiking, 4 wheeling. This cottage we stayed at was a good location. We had 2 dogs with us and each morning we took a nice walk down to Grand Marais. The dogs loved it! The walkway is nice to use...right on HWY 61. So much to do...not ever enough time!

Great stay!
We stayed with our two standard poodles and two teenage daughters. Everyone had enough space. Noise machines in bedrooms were great. Beds were comfortable. Everything was included- doggie water bowl and a pooper scooper. Would definitely stay again. Thanks!

Relax and have fun!
Great/clean property with all the necessary amenities for our family of 3! If you have kids/adults that want to bike, biking back to the property from downtown is a bit challenging due to the big hill. It's a short/ easy distance to mini golf though. Enjoyed the boardgames. The tv and wifi were great for keeping up with Bucks in the championship. Loved our stay!

Perfect Getaway
Everything was perfect! Very clean, spacious, equipped with everything we could want or need, and host was very responsive to any query. Beds are super comfortable (memory foam?) and bathrooms had plenty of towels and roomy showers. The kitchen was very well stocked. Everything seemed fresh and clean as if purchased and stocked just for our visit! Our group of five adults and dogs had a great time. Loved being by Lake Superior and the town of Grand Marais! Great find, perfect location for area activities.
Comfortable, well supplied home with many kitchen appliances for cooking and snacking. Comfortable beds and nice roomy bathrooms. Well stocked thick towels and washcloths. Spacious living room and dining room with a nice table that will easily seat 6. Quiet area with easy access from the road. Nice entryway for 4 people coming back from a winter adventure to gear down and hang on conveniently located hooks. Highly recommend.

Beautiful home!
We stayed 5 nights and had an absolute wonderful time! This beautiful home had everything we needed and was very comfortable for our group of 6 plus 1 year old. We liked the convenience of being close to Grand Marais. One thing I didn't catch on the description is that there is no AC, but there are lots of ceiling fans and the weather was fairly comfortable so we faired ok. Just got a little muggy when it rained but still doable. Many great memories were made and we are so appreciative of a great host and home! Thank you!

Great home and location
Nicely furnished and comfortable beds. It was great having such nice accommodations. We loved having recycling bins.so handy to use. We cooked all of our breakfasts and most of our evening meals in the well stocked kitchen. The on demand hot water and the heated floors.were a big bonus. The Westside getaway is first class all the way! We were pleased being close to state parks and the Superior National Forest for some wonderful hikes with such beautiful fall colors. Thanks again for making our family vacation a very enjoyable experience! We made some wonderful memories.

A wonderful place to stay
The house was very clean and spacious, and thoughtfully appointed with full size kitchen appliances and plenty of quality dishes, glassware and cookware. A crock pot, toaster, popcorn maker and other small appliances added to the ease of food prep. There were also items for small children, such as a booster seat. The road out front was busy during the day, but a sidewalk on one side and a walking path on the other made it safely possible to walk the mile into town, or take the dog for a walk. The location was very convenient for access to town and other activities.
