This is an EXQUISITE mountain cabin in the private community of Columbine Lake (conveniently located just a mile from the historic town of Grand Lake). Enjoy the peaceful mountain life with family and friends as this cabin is large enough to share!!

Master Bedroom(KING bed) and bath are located on the top floor with an adjoining loft. Main floor contains two more bedrooms and one full bath. Queen bed in one room and Full/Twin log Bunk bed in the other. We also have a futon in the kids room for additional sleeping. The basement contains a large den/family room, bathroom and a bedroom with another KING bed. You won't be disappointed as this home boasts beauty, comfort and mountain style.

This is a NON-SMOKING cabin.

Sorry, Columbine Lake is a private, covenant-controlled community. Renters are not allowed to use the clubhouse, gazebo, horse pasture, OHVs or Columbine Lake (for fishing, boating, paddle boarding, kayaking & swimming). Keep in mind when booking, that this property is located in a quiet neighborhood with many full-time residents. Please plan on using one of the three local lakes(Grand, Granby and Shadow Mtn) for all your lake activities.

Great Stay!
Exactly as described, great location close to Grand Lake (not within walking distance though). Gets a little hot during the day during the warmer months but you’re meant to be out and about so not a big deal, plus they provide a bunch of fans you can place in the windows to help with air circulation and cooling a bit. Only gripe was the checkout instruction asks to do a load of laundry (full load, wash and dry) before checking out but other than that it was perfect!

Wonderful stay at the Grand Retreat in Grand Lake!
We had such a wonderful stay here as our first time in Grand Lake. Jamie was a great host, was very responsive. The house is beautiful and we loved the true cabin feel. The house also had so much for the kids which was great and also the kitchen had a lot of tools that we were very pleasantly surprised about! We can't wait to come back again. Thank you Jamie!

Great weekend getaway!
Off the beaten path, allowing you to relax and enjoy the mountain air with peace and quiet. Quick trip to downtown Grand Lake, and the house had everything needed to make meals and relax at the house. I was really impressed with communication from the host, we will be back!

The Grand Retreat was perfect for our getaway with friends. Cabin is well equipped and instructions are clear. Jamie was helpful with information and recommendations. We enjoyed walking around the area and visiting nearby Grand Lake and hiking trails.

The Grand Retreat was ideal for our annual family winter getaway. The house had everything we needed and more. Jamie was responsive and wonderful with communication. Could not ask for a better experience.

Lovely retreat
We really enjoyed our stay at this mountain cabin. They everything well laid out, Internet was fast (500mb down) and the house had cable in the living room which was a nice touch. The house is great for warm temperatures or cold temperatures. Be warned that the HOA of this neighborhood is overtly strict and does have a serious negative impact the fun... "don't swim in our lake unless your an approved guest." Back to the house, great layout, cold basement for the summer, lovely fireplace for cold evenings, the grill was also really nice (weber) and had permanent gas to it. This was a very professionally run cabin.

Very nice accommodation.
Lots of family space and nice location for convenience to park—it doesn’t get any closer than this! Only thing I didn’t like was thick bath rugs in lieu of bath mats that can be washed between guests and thick shag carpeting in places that was not very clean.

Great place for a family trip!
We had a mini-family get together to meet and re-capture our youth from growing up in the area. And since we all live scattered all over the state, it was great to have a cabin with enough bathrooms and square footage to house us all! We loved the layout, decor, amenities and location. The owner.manager was easy to work with and we experience no issues whatsoever. I fully recommend this cabin and hope to be able to book it again in the winter!

Up at the mountains and lake !
This was a perfect place for a family reunion. The three levels and separate sleeping areas allowed for kids to go bed easily , plenty of bathrooms and a great space , actually two hang and enjoy each other . Plus there were lots of toys for kiddos and games for all . Only lacking was lake view . The host/ owner was awesome . Thank you .

Serious sledders
This place is just ausome, every amenity you can imagine and ride right to the trail from the cabin. We were very lucky and caught the snow just right, snowed every day and every night locals said they have not seen this much snow in over 5 years. Was very nice to come back to a great cabin to cook meals, hot showers and great sleeping arrangements.

Had a great time in Grand Lake with my family. The house was spacious, beds very comfy. The home is a short drive to town or RMNP. The neighborhood itself is quiet, lovely for walks. The kitchen is very well suplied. The downstairs family room was good for a separate space for my adult kids to hang out. The owner was quick to respond to texts. All good.

The downstairs is freezing. The main level and upstairs are great. My sons loved the bunk bed. Great kitchen. (I wish somewhere in the discription it said ‘coffee grounds and filters needed’ for coffee maker, with so many different coffee makers it would have helped, that was my only irritation) Would love to come stay again.

Very nice vacation home
I would highly recommend The Grand Retreat. Very nice and well equipped vacation home. We stayed 4 nights and cooked dinner at the house each night. Jamie responded promptly to inquiries and was easy to work with. If you are planning to visit Rocky Mountain National Park, the advantage of this location is that this is the quieter, less crowded side of the park. The only disadvantage is that many of the more popular trails are on the eastern side of the park and it takes about 80-90 min to get there via Trail Ridge Rd which is the only road through the park. Buy groceries on the way in because the nearest major supermarket is about 1 hour drive.

Fantastic Home & Location
The Grand Retreat was the perfect place for our week long stay in Grand Lake. The home was in great condition and was very inviting. The kitchen was well stocked with everything imaginable for food prep and cooking and the closets were well stocked with extra pillows and blankets if needed. This was our second time to stay in the Lake Columbine neighborhood. We like it as it is very quiet and quite convenient to the heart of Grand Lake and RMNP entrance. I enjoyed sipping coffee on the deck each morning and looked forward to the wildlife I might see. While there, we saw moose twice (once walking down the road right in front of the home), four mule deer, a fox, geese flying overhead and chipmunks! Though only my husband and I stayed in this home, it would be ideal for larger groups or family. The Grand Retreat has become our favorite new rental! Hope to have another couple or even our two adult kids and their spouses join us on our next trip back. This home would be ideal for all of us with plenty of room! Already missing this place!
