Imagine enjoying your morning coffee/evening glass of wine or the best: falling asleep to the sound of the Tonahutu River (Small River) directly behind this 1 bedroom condo. This Riverfront hideaway will make all of your worries drift away after a day of enjoying the area, enjoying unlimited hiking or exploring the 3 major lakes - you will enjoy coming home to just relax, by the warmth of the river rock fireplace or take advantage of the fully equipped kitchen and make a wonderful meal. At nights end, enjoy a movie night or favorite show on the flat screen TV before hitting the brand new King size bed (or Queeen size pull-out) for a tranquil night sleep. The New (June 2022) LazyBoy Queen pull out couch with memory foam mattress is so comfy! We also have Riverfront Paradise #3 right next door – perfect for another couple (1 bedroom/1 bathroom). Zoom meeting? Online school? Our Wifi is fast - 200mbps!
This condo is right next door from the Historic Rapids Lodge & Restaurant where you can enjoy a gourmet meal while enjoying the River view. We are just a 3 minute walk to Grand Avenue where you can spend an afternoon trying different restaurants, shopping or roam through the historical Kauffman house Museum for a trip back in time. Just 2 blocks to the Lake and Grand Lake Marina, where you can rent a pontoon boat, fishing boats, canoe, kayaks or standup paddleboards or simply relax on the small beach with a tasty ice cream cone. Both immaculate & cozy inside with a River Rock gas fireplaces & every detail you could think of including WIFI (200mbps), Cable TV, books, toys, board games, private Washer/Dryer, pack-n-play, sheets & towels, fully equipped kitchen. Stay cozy warm with in floor radiant heat.
The condo is only 1 block to town – 2 blocks to Grand Lake, Rocky Mountain National Park Entrance (5 minute drive), snowmobile trails (5 minute drive) and the Grand Lake Golf Course (6 minute drive) Winter Park ski resort (40 min) or Ski Granby Ranch (20 min). The fully equipped kitchen includes all appliances, plenty of pots, pans, dishes, glassware, crockpot, blender, mixer, coffee maker; you will have everything you need to cook a nice meal including some basic spices and condiments. Wifi is fast - 200mbps!
**Note---This house is located in Grand Lake. VRBO combines Grand Lake with Estes Park (2-4+ hour drive over Trail Ridge if it is open), Winter Park, Fraser, Tabernash and the town of Granby (20-50 Min Drive). Fantastic town; super convenient location.
The property was perfect for our winter get-away and close to everything Grand Lake has to offer. Access to the full kitchen was a benefit over the standard hotel room.

Nice But....
The property was wonderful but it came with so many rules and regulations with severe penalties. If you went in 15 minutes early you would be penalizes $25. If you check out (10am) 15 minutes late it's a $50 charge, 30 min $75. etc. The Condo was basically clean but someone did forget to flush the toilet. It was not pleasant. Love the area and the Condo, but for the cost with all the fees... we will be looking elsewhere next time.

Cozy clean condo right near the lake
We really enjoyed our stay and we’re impressed with the response from the property manager when we had an issue. We could walk in town, to the lake, and to the Northr Inlet trail. Highly recommend!

Beautiful Cozy Condo
Upon arriving gaining access was simple, when you walk in the condo there's a beautiful view of the river(which is right on the edge of the patio area) and has a table with chairs to enjoy. Everything was clean and cozy, and perfect for my wife and I. Its about a 1 minute walk from the lake and downtown grand lake where you can find plenty of restaurants, shops and fun stuff.

Beautiful property / location. Did have an issue with function of the A/C thermostat. Although thermostat was set upon access to the unit at 60 degrees, it seemed to never turn on to cool the condo.

Location is supurb
The proximity to the main street is excellent. The rushing...make that roaring river off of the back porch provides great ambience. Our meal at the restaurant next door was superb. The condo itself is small and "plain jane" (e.g., cheap furniture, old scratchy towels). It seemed obvious that the rental is handled by a company. No personal touches. The bed is comfortable.

amazing place to stay
The place was clean, had all the amentities you need, bed was very comfortable. The property manager was very easy to get ahold of if you needed to. Check in and out directions were very detailed and easy to follow. The location was excellent only 2 blocks from the downtown shops and very quiet. It was on a beautiful rushing stream with the water being about 20 feet from the condo which was so peaceful, quiet, tranquille, and made our trip wonderful. We had a lower unit so we could see the stream right there as we sat on the couch and walk out our patio door and sit on the chairs or move right up to the stream and sit on the rocks. Simply Amazing! We will rent here every time we come to grand lake for sure!! We have rented in all areas of grand lake and this is definately our favorite for sure!

Wonderful riverside stay
We loved our 5 nite stay at this property. It is so well set up and kitchen very well stocked with all you’d need to cook own dinners which we did. Pull out couch comfortable for my husband and me and our son and grandson slept in bedroom with great King bed. Access to lovely town with great park got kids, and the beach very easy. We loved the lake- padded our paddle boards several times. We hiked in Rocky Mountain National Park on several hikes including ridge hike top of Trail ridge rd at 12,000 ft. elevation . The river running behind unit was a peaceful beautiful backdrop . Bear visited our porch once during a day , but scooted to river when he spotted us . No problems. Will definitely come again

Mountain Getaway
My husband and I came to Colorado for the first time. We are not large city travelers, so we found the quaint town of Grand Lake enjoyable. The property is in walking distance of everything and is right on the river. We were able to enjoy the last of winter with beautiful snowfall around gorgeous views. The location is perfect so we can be away from the hustle of a city but still close enough to travel to nearby places of wanted. The condo itself was clean and stocked with anything we needed. If we had a question the host responded quickly. We’ve only been home a day and are wanting to plan our next trip! I do suggest if going and want to see ALL the town has to offer, go during peak summer season. We came during mud season so many of the stores in town were closed, which was no big deal for us but may be for others. If you are contemplating going to Grand Lake, look no further than here!

Such Great Potential with Undone minimal improvements
The biggest pro was the roaring river behind the back patio. One major premise liability issue is that the slider exited to a two story porch with absolutely no warning markers on the rickety wooden step down to the patio table and I took a tumble down onto my elbow/forearm the first evening. The lower dim light was not working so I suggest fixing it and putting a reflective tape around the border (we bought small orange flags). The 22” flat screen TV 📺 on the fireplace was dwarfed by the 2 cable boxes and was antiquated. Nowadays they sell over twice the size (with extended swivel) for about $200 and would enhance the cable experience. We disagree with some reviews claiming the spices and cooking in were sufficient. There was no salt or sugar and when we saw the neighbor patios had BBQs I texted Maureen about how many units she managed she had two and one was next door which I confirmed vacant and asked her if we could use it once for our Filets. She said Owner was out but text me back to say that he doesn’t want us to use it. Said “That’s why I didn’t advertise it “. Propane BBQs are about $179. WHY CANT AN OWNER INCREASE THE RENTAL VALUE BY INVESTING A COUPLE HUNDRED DOLLARS? Most reviewers comment on Maureen being too verbose and condescending but when I confirmed We would pay a big tip for housekeeping She allowed us one hour early. Perhaps if she presented herself as likable and flexible. $50 fine/15 minutes late, $25 to leave trash. We don’t strip beds or wash windows

The condo was lovely with just enough room for the four of us. What made it great though was the beautiful river in the backyard and easy walk to downtown Grand Lake.

Hiking in RMNP
The accommodations were above average. Kitchen is fully supplied and equipment is relatively new or in very good condition. This unit sits adjacent to the creek. Have a beverage on the patio after a long day of hiking.
