Pet Friendly, Firepit, Massive Wood Stove, Shadow Mountain/Lake Granby Near By

**Discounts offered for weekly rentals**

This cozy pet friendly cabin is a classic Grand Lake property that is ideal for couples, but accommodates for up to 4 people as well. Originally built in the 1930s, then expanded in the 1980s, the property has been renovated and kept up nicely over the years. Most recently, the bathroom got new wood look tile flooring, as well as the living area. Some features that most will really appreciate include the massive wood stove and the quaint country kitchen. The bedroom has a nice Queen bed, 2 dressers, and a covered porch. The living room is pretty large and has a nice spacious feel to it. This room includes a bar, large HDTV, the wood stove, a nice futon, as well as a nice comfy recliner. The eat in kitchen has enough space for everything you'd find in a normal kitchen (minus a dishwasher) plus a dining table. Outside, this home comes with a bit of land that includes a fire pit and parking for 2 vehicles or one with a trailer. In fact, if you have a trailer, you'll find the parking here is very easy and accommodating. The property is found right in between Shadow Mountain Lake and Lake Granby, so hitting the water (or ice) is easy. In fact, there are two marinas within one mile, one on each lake! The location is very convenient for other reasons too. You can easily hop on highway 34 and get places fast. Downtown Grand Lake and Rocky Mountain National Park are only 5 miles away. In the other direction, it's not far to Ski Granby Ranch, the Hot Springs, or Winter Park Resort. Boating, swimming, golf, hiking, biking, alpine skiing, cross country skiing, snowmobiling, ATVing and OHVing, horseback riding, ice fishing, snowshoeing, shopping, dining, scenic drives, wildlife photography, these are some of the adventures that await you in the area immediately surrounding this property. Please call or inquire with any questions, or book online with confidence. Our highly trained Vacation Rental Specialists are available 7 days per week.

** Rental Agreements, Security Deposits, Rental Requirements - All hotels and rental properties have some rules and are subject to some amount of laws or regulations. Please look for and review any Rental Agreement terms, House Rules, and or Terms and Conditions presented during the online booking process. After booking, a Vacation Rental Agreement will be provided. All guests are required to sign the agreement within 72 hours of booking, and prior to occupying the property. There may be other requirements. For example, Guests may be required to provide additional information about the group that will occupy the property and or identification documents. Background checks may be performed, and in some areas are required by local law. Guests may be required to provide a credit card and or a refundable security/damage deposit. We will be in touch after you book to gather additional information and to email you the rental agreement, which you can sign electronically - no printer required. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us before booking.
** Amenities - Some private or shared amenities may not be available for guest use during certain periods. Some amenities, when part of a property, may close daily, seasonally, or for maintenance. As such, all amenities can not be guaranteed to be available at all times. Please advise us when or before booking if you have questions about a specific property amenity so that we can give you the most accurate information possible for your dates.
** Air Conditioning - Most mountain resort properties were not built with air conditioning. During most hours of the day and weeks of the year, AC is not needed. Summer nights are cool and fans are provided at most properties. Check the average high and low temperatures and weather forecast for your dates of travel, and look at the list of amenities to see if AC or fans are part of the rental property and look for ceiling fans in photos.
** Pets & Fees - “Pet Friendly” means Dog Friendly only. If a property is pet friendly, then a per pet, per night fee will apply. Some online booking sites, such as VRBO, do not allow us to list the maximum number of pets per property. If you are renting a pet friendly property, and will have more than one dog, please reach out prior to booking to verify if the home will allow more than one dog. Additional fees will apply for more than 1 dog.
** Group Sizes, High Occupancy Fees, & Maximum Occupancy - Some properties use a “High Occupancy Fee” to “raise the rate” for larger groups, and are thus able to list a lower nightly rate for smaller groups. Each rental agreement and associated rates are for a specific group size. Guests must enter the correct and maximum group size at the time of booking. The agreement requires a guest to confirm the group size and subsequently, to disclose any changes to the planned group size, which may result in an increase, or decrease, to the total cost, and may result in a security deposit becoming required.
** Video & Noise Monitoring - Please note that noise monitoring devices, and security cameras, do exist on the exterior of the property. Cameras are positioned to cover all entrances and exits of the home. Cameras are present to ensure the property remains secure and safe, as well as to ensure that guests are honest and upfront about their planned use of the property. If you plan to bring more people than you've indicated, more dogs than indicated, to host a party or event, or do not intend to respect neighbors or the value and quality of the property, then this is not the place for you, and you should not book the property. For normal, respectful groups, we are sorry that these statements and measures are necessary. Security cameras and noise monitoring devices are an example and demonstration that the property's owners are taking steps to ensure the home remains available for rental, and in good condition, for your benefit. Please let us know if you have any concerns.
** Cleaning Fees & Lengthy Rental Periods - The standard cleaning fee quoted as part of any booking is for the final cleaning, which is to be performed after the rental period has ended. For guests who are booking a lengthy stay of more than one week, a mid stay-cleaning fee equal to the final cleaning fee may apply for the second week, third week, and so on. If you are booking for a lengthy stay, please contact us before booking online to discuss your group, your dates, the rates, the cleaning schedule, etc.

Okay
Dealing with a property management company is awful. They have crazy extra contracts and are a pain. Vacation rentals are becoming not worth the trouble and risk. The property is pretty run down and just “okay”. Would not stay again.

Summary
The property itself was great. The issue was the trailer that was parked across the street w two unleashed dogs that pottied in the yard and chased after both me and my dogs when we were out and I was not able to safely potty my dogs without driving elsewhere generally back to Grand Lake to walk and potty them and me safely.they came Friday evening and stayed the whole time

stay
Our stay was ok. The location of the place was difficult to find but when we called we were given directions on how to get there. I wish it was a quieter place, the highway was just there so we can hear the cars and trucks. There were lots of weeds at the dog pen...so difficult for our dog to stay. Also lots of expired products in the fridge and pantry. It was ok.

Getaway
Good location. Directions on vrbo are in correct. States county road 46 but actually CR 461. So gps put us in wrong location. Cabin is rustic but had what needed. Seemed strange that we had to pay to throw trash away. Think it’s a Grand Lake thing

A snug cabin with all the necessities needed for a comfortable stay. All appliances worked well, (I never tried the TV), internet cell service worked well, comfortable bed, hot shower. Easy to use parking spot. Plenty of split wood for the outside fire ring and inside wood burning stove. I even split some kindling for the next renter. The aspen were putting on a colorful show!

Weekend leaf turning weekend
The inside was nice for the most part. There where some expired foods but it was pretty stocked up. The lazy boy chair was broken. My mother enjoyed the main bedroom while I stayed on the futon. The laundry all had a moldy rag smell including sheets for the futon. It should be listed to bring your own water since the water is not drinkable since it taste and smells like metal strongly. I was disappointed the grounds were full of weeds and animal poop and the dog run door was broken and the inside was full of thorn bushes so my dogs had no where to play. There was also a neighbor with off leash chows that where running and barking towards the on leash dogs. It’s a little close to the highway and you can hear and see traffic all hours. It has potential but just wasn’t what I thought it was from the description. There are some loose boards on the steps that are dangerous with nails sticking out. Needs some outside love. Too much debris around to use the fire pit I didn’t want to start a forest fire. I do thank you for communicating about the trash bags in a timely fashion. But over all I was not very pleased. Thankfully my mother had a better time.

Great location!
This cabin was perfectly located near Grand Lake & lake granby. It was off the highway but you didn't hear much noise. When we pulled up there was a huge moose right outside the front door! So cool! This cabin is very close to neighbors - not much privacy if you have the door/windows open, however it is a pretty quiet neighborhood. The location is unbeatable - great little place to getaway in the mountains!

Uncomfortable furnishings
Very uncomfortable bed, recliner, and couch. Mattress was awful so went to sleep in recliner and it was in terrible shape. We left after the first night due to that. If better furniture it would have been fine.

Lovely cabin
We loved staying at this cabin! It was a perfect size for our family of four + 2 dogs. It's very close to all of the lakes in the area and to town. If you do have more than three in your party you're going to need to bring additional dishes and cutlery because there is only three sets.

Perfect location!
This cabin met our needs well for our four-night stay. It's perfectly located in the middle of all the action - a few minutes drive into Grand Lake in one direction and a few minutes drive to Lake Granby in the other. It had all the necessary items to cook meals, the furniture was very comfortable, and it was the right size for our family of three. A few items were missing (bath towels, the mandatory Grand Lake trash bags, dish liquid) when we checked it, and we were able to reach the owner and management company easily, and they were immediately responsive and fixed what we needed. It's not secluded, but the road noise was never a bother. We did have noisy neighbors one night. It's got the typical quirks of an older mountain cabin, but we found it charming and would definitely stay there again!
