Newly renovated (2017) and furnished upstairs apartment in the former servant's quarters of the Edward P. Ferry Mansion, built in 1870. Listed on the National Register of Historic places due to it's unique architecture and connection with the founding family of Grand Haven.

Grand Haven was nationally recognized for having one of the top five beaches in the United States, by Good Morning America. The city has over 100 miles (160 km) of bike trails, a state beach, boardwalk, two lighthouses, a pier, wharf, large charter fishing fleet and a Great Lakes port, where it imports limestone, slag, cement and coal while exporting sand. Grand Haven is also home to the United States Coast Guard's "Group Grand Haven," which coordinates all Lake Michigan Coast Guard activities. Grand Haven is the only city officially designated as "Coast Guard City, USA" by an act of Congress.

Stay at the Ferry House in Grand Haven!
Beautiful historic house close to the beach and can walk into town. The outside bar was great! The owners were very nice. I'd certainly stay there again.

Quiet and lovely apartment.
We loved the long strolls through the neighborhood and to downtown Grand Haven. The apartment is the perfect size for a couple and they have plenty of towels and bathroom products. I even saw a few curling irons. Nice touch. Very private location and a sweet doggo named Stevie is a pleasant touch. We will be back to stay!!

Beautiful house in a great location!
We enjoyed our stay-it was perfect for 2 couples that were looking for a place to rest our head and escape the heat. Location was great-the House is walking distance to everything downtown. We will definitely try to come back with our little one!

Hidden gem!
This beautiful old home has been remodeled perfectly while keep its old timey charm. It’s a perfect, cozy spot for a weekend away and very conveniently walking distance from downtown. The apartment is so beautiful, anyone will enjoy a stay here!

Even Better than the Pictures
This place is one of those rare finds that is even better than the pictures. And, the pictures are great. The place is beautiful inside and so unique, with great artwork, a comfortable bed, and a big bathroom. My girlfriends and I came in for a girls’ weekend, walked downtown, shopped, and had a great couple of nights out. Would definitely stay here again and highly. recommend. Owners were very responsive and helpful with our questions.

A great stay in a historic home and neighborhood.
I had a great stay! The property was clean and neat. The exterior of the home could be on a post card and the back yard, while small is very cute. The outdoor patio is beautiful with nice furniture and a fantastic tiki bar area. Great hosts (recommended events to attend) and were attentive to any needs I experienced during my stay. It's in a safe neighborhood too. While I prefer a one story unit as I live in a one story residence, using stairs wasn't bad. Overall a wonderful experience.

The Ferry House Apartment is very pleasant!
The apartment is in a great location, the Ferry House is impressive and the outdoor garden and entertainment area is amazing. Kurt is the consummate host and his beer on tap is nice and cold! There are only 2 things I would suggest to provide for future renters further enjoyment: Kleenex and creamer & sweeteners for the coffee machine.

What a great place to stay in GH. Close to everything. We walked all over town (over 10 miles in steps in one day just exploring the gorgeous neighborhoods, shops, lakefront, and more!!) Photos don’t do this home justice - truly a gorgeous home and gracious hosts. Quiet, clean, convenient to town. Perfect for our short stay but would be great for longer. Enjoyed relaxing in the secluded patio area - and loved the resident dog! This was our first time in GH and won’t be our last - and will certainly look to stay here again….or maybe move to GH and stay permanently! 😃

Beautiful home in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood, perfect for 2.
Kurt and Wendy were wonderful hosts! They were very helpful during our stay. The apartment is fine for 4 people, but it is perfect for 2. The couch bed was quite comfortable :) It was very clean and had everything we needed. We were able to enjoy sitting out back at their bar one evening, playing cards. The lights and the trickling of the fountain added just the right ambience. It's such a peaceful place to come back to after being at the crowded beach and busy shops. We saw deer on our walk home from town, late one night, close enough to touch them! There is just something for everyone in Grand Haven. We had a wonderful time and we'd stay right here again.

Nice apartment in great location.
Property was exactly as pictured/described. Very clean and in an absolutely gorgeous neighborhood. Walking distance to park, waterfront, restaurants etc… Only a couple of minor cons but those wouldn’t keep us from staying there again. The cons were that, while comfortable, the bed was quite squeaky. Rolling over was noisy and tended to wake us up. The other con was that there was a fairly significant rattling noise when the AC was running. Neither of these were significant enough for us to complain. Just slightly annoying. Again - wouldn’t stop us from staying there again and didn’t keep us from giving 5 stars. Really is a nice apartment in a beautiful home.
