"My son was in hospital in Pontivy following a motorcycle accident. I shared a room with his partner at the Hotel de l'Europe for nine nights. The staff, two sisters and cleaning ladies were all charming and helpful. The sisters spoke English, again so useful for us. The hotel is central and opposite a car park which was free except not available on Mondays for the weekly market. The hotel has a car park for €8 a day. Our room was probalby not the best room they had (front door was just outside reception and the back windows looked into the restaurant), but we didn't spend a lot of time there. It was quiet and a good base for exploring the Golfe de Morbihan. Our kids enjoyed swimming in the (heated) pool. We ate at the brasserie on the first night and have to say that the service was unacceptably slow. But we ate there another night and it was fine. We didn't eat...
