BYERS PEAK LODGE

Byers Peak Lodge sits atop a rocky, wooded ridge on 43 acres, adjoining 1300 acres of open space, just 4 miles east of Granby, Colorado. This magnificent, 5 bedroom, 7 bath, 5000 square foot, custom log home is a masterpiece of Colorado mountain architecture. Completed in 2002, the Lodge provides numerous amenities.

Custom rock fireplaces grace the great room on the main level and the entertainment room on the lower walkout level. The fireplace in the great room features two 6000-pound, lichen-encrusted boulders taken from a cliff on the property. One of these massive boulders is a natural replica of Byers Peak, the 12800 ft. , snow-capped peak oriented directly in the center of the Lodge’s panoramic great room windows. The Lodge’s unobstructed views are unparalleled in Grand County.

The dining area is designed for gatherings of friends and family, with a wide, family-style table and adjoining bar and stools. The kitchen features a refrigerator, two conventional ovens, a microwave, a vented cooking range, two dishwashers, and two disposals. For outdoor cooking with a view, the Lodge offers a deluxe, stainless steel, gas grill, located on the main-level deck, which wraps around 3 sides of the home. Or, for those not inclined to cook, restaurants in every price range are abundant in Granby, Winter Park, and Grand Lake.

Each of the five bedrooms features handcrafted, natural aspen log beds. Adjoining bathrooms offer jacuzzi tubs; separate, seated showers with handrails; sink and toilet. Also in each suite or adjoining hall we have washers and dryers (4 sets total) for your after ski laundry necessities.

The entertainment room, quietly isolated on the bottom walkout level, provides the latest in home theater technology. A ceiling-mounted projector and movie screen provide the ultimate movie-watching experience. Guests can choose from a variety of videocassettes and DVDs, while relaxing on reclining leather sofas, loveseats, and beanbags. We also have Dish satellite.

This home is family friendly: there are 2 dishwashers, 2 ovens, 4 washers and dryers, and 2 fireplaces.

We are a non-smoking, no animal home, due to the allergies of family members and many of our guests.

We regret that we are no longer able to host events at Byers Peak Lodge that include day guests who are not actually staying at the lodge. A few unfortunate past experiences prompted this decision out of respect for the peace and privacy of our neighbors.

Our son got married out here in Grand Lake and this cabin was perfect for the size of our group. The rooms had tons of space to fit everyone. Was only minutes away from everything. It was great to have so many washing machines/dryers and multiple appliances. Would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic Trip
Byers Peak Lodge is simply breathtaking!! Our daughter was married in Granby and this lodge was perfect for our family as it was located above the venue. Our family thoroughly enjoyed this well equipped and beautifully decorated home during our trip. The attention to detail given to us left no questions and Nila was extremely easy to work with. I would highly recommend this lodge to any group traveling to the Granby area!!

Great trip! Beautiful cabin! AMAZING views! The kids and adults alike had fun sledding on the hill out front and building snow forts. The weather was even perfect for grilling off the back deck. It was wonderful having bathrooms and washer/dryers for each bedroom and even better having plenty of hot water when several of the bathrooms or machines were being used at one time. We did encounter the mice but they didn’t bother our group. Would definitely stay here again.

What an inspiring stay! The vastness of the property and variety of sleeping and living areas made it perfect for our group of family, couples, and singles to all have their space and space to come together. AWD is necessary to ensure safe arrival in the winter months! I know our family will be booking this home for another get away!

What a phenomenal view of the snow capped mountains with beautiful wildflowers blooming in the valley below. Stayed for three nights in this well stocked, clean comfortable cabin sharing the clean crisp air and wilderness with diverse wildlife. Highly recommend!

Wonderful Place for Family Reunion
We were fortunate enough to have just the right number of people in our extended family for this cabin. We had 20, and they all were able to sleep comfortably. The property is beautiful, as is the setting. We were able to have a day at Winter Park and another at Grand Lake, with both being just a short drive. Thanks for a wonderful time!

Beautiful Property, Beautiful Area
We had a great stay at Byers Peak Lodge for a weekend running retreat. We're a group of 12 men, and the home offered plenty of space, plenty of beds, plenty of views, and plenty of bathrooms. The home is gorgeous, with a sprawling deck overlooking a valley and stunning stone fireplace to complement the logs throughout. The kitchen has everything you need. We'd love to go back.

Beautiful House, Excellent Stay!
We stayed at Byers Peak Lodge in late July and had an amazing time!! The house is gorgeous, beautifully decorated with plenty of room for 5+ couples to spread out with plenty of privacy. The property is absolutely gorgeous. This house had everything we needed in terms of kitchen supplies. Nila was extremely responsive and helpful prior to our stay. You really can’t go wrong staying here.

Only downside I would say is that all the full bathrooms are in the 5 rooms. As long as you plan accordingly on sleeping arrangements, you should be ok.

Amazing spot for a group!
We had a small intimate wedding here and it was perfect. So much room for everyone to have their own space, and absolutely everything we could hope for in the house to cook, play games, and of course enjoy the incredible views and area of the lodge. Host was communicative and very helpful to our questions as we managed some planning. And logistics. Best VRBO I’ve stayed at so far.

The property was amazing. The views from the deck were breathtaking. The homeowners had a quick response to all of our questions. The check-in and checkout were easy. Our stay was nothing short of amazing at Byers Peak Lodge. The house and the views were immaculate! We really enjoyed being able cook with our entire family and have the ability to sit down as one big group to eat. The kids loved playing air hockey and ping pong in the garage there was plenty of room for each guest to be comfortable in their own space. The cabin allowed for our big group to disconnect and enjoy each others company. We cannot wait to return to this beautiful cabin.

Our expectations were more than met by this beautiful home. We had eleven children with us and they had a blast visiting with their cousins in this spacious home. This lovely home was a welcome retreat for my kids and grandkids. We came together from three different states and enjoyed the views and spacious living area. We didn't venture far from the home, except on foot and bikes. We felt like the home had more to offer than the listing advertised. The breakfast nook was perfect for all my Littles. They had fun piling in there! the private balconies in the upstairs bedrooms were nice, too.

The house was very accommodating for an extended family of 18. Beautiful log construction with large kitchen and ample grilling room even with daily snow storms. The fireplace did a fair job of heating the great room with plenty of firewood available. The new stove top worked fine for the stainless steel pots that were available.

loved the location. Just a couple of issues. Mice in the house were pretty active. The one dishwasher did not work although we were able to use the one that did work. Hot water tap in the main floor bedroom leaks. Beautiful views and great privacy.
