There's something magical about the place where land and ocean meet. It can be a tranquil spot suited for relaxing and perhaps taking a swim or a violent battlefront where the water seems intent on swallowing everything in its path. Since Malta is an island (or actually several islands) there are endless places where you can see and enjoy this for yourself.

This photo is taken on a peninsula far to the northwest on Gozo (see the map) from where you get a splendid view of some majestic cliffs and, in the distance, the famous arch called Azure Window.
