"Just got back from 10 days at Ocean Waves...and already looking ahead to plan our return trip!If anything, the pictures don't do it justice...the view of the water is great, and you have a private access path to the beach, so it's just a minute walk down the hill. The beach is amazing...the most people we saw on it at one time was less than 10, and great for long walks any time of day.Pascal's restaurant is a 5 minute walk down a semi-private road, and provides a great menu to choose from...we ate there 3 times. The house is situated about a 5-6 minute drive into Governor's Harbour, giving access to several other amazing places to eat...we thoroughly enjoyed the Buccaneer Club, Tippy's, and had amazing meals at Bougainvillea and The French Leave. If you would rather stay in and cook (as food prices on the island are very high), there is a good grocery store in Governor's Harbour, Jimmy's Liquor store has a great selection of beer, wine and spirits, and Island Farm is only about a 15 minute drive, where you can source fresh produce and other things (we actually got a fresh lasagna there one day)...highly recommended to check it out.The host, Lachelle, is amazing at responding to questions...usually within an hour, and we felt we were well taken care of!Definitely need a rental car...we used Bruno's at Lachelle's recommendation and it worked out great.Looking forward to going back!"

"We had an incredible two-week stay at this home with our group of three couples. The attention to detail and care put into every aspect of this property made it stand out as one of the best vacation rentals we’ve experienced.The communication with the host was responsive, clear, and thoughtful. It was evident they truly care about their guests' experience, and everything about the home reflected this. The outdoor amenities were a huge highlight for us. Unlike many other rentals, this property went above and beyond with thoughtful extras like boogie boards, pool toys, kayaks, snorkeling gear, and a stand-up paddleboard. These touches added so much fun to our days. The pool itself was a favorite hangout spot, and the outdoor spaces were perfect for relaxing or soaking up the beauty of the location.The home is in a very convenient location on the quieter side of the island with easy access to everything you need. We had no trouble finding groceries, supplies, and great local restaurants. One of the best parts of our stay was meeting friendly locals who were welcoming. The island offers access to many incredible sandy beaches, all within a 10-20 minute drive. Some roads are rough, but the island is working to improve them.If you’re looking for a vacation rental that combines hospitality, attention to detail, outdoor amenities, and a peaceful yet convenient location, this is the one. We highly recommend it!"

"This house and the other one next door that Barbi owns, Bonefish Barbi’s, are both wonderful vacation homes. They’re clean, comfortable and convenient to the airport, Governors Harbour, and other places on the island if you have a car and are inclined to explore. Barbi is very responsive to questions and. Is very easy to work with. After staying in many other places around Governors Harbour over the years, these two houses have been my favorites, which is why I keep coming back to them. "

"This was a perfect location for our stay. The bedroom layout is great for two couples, or two singles. The bedrooms are at separate ends of house and each has its own full bath. The beds were very comfy! The kitchen is well equipped, but we don't really like to cook on vacay, so opted for late lunch out somewhere every day, with light breakfast and snacks for dinner. There is a nice grill on back deck. The view from front deck is beautiful! We pulled the chaise lounges up from the middle deck and enjoyed sitting outside and watching the incredibly blue ocean. The gorgeous pink sand beach is just down some steps and we only saw someone else on beach once! It was very windy while we were there, so most of our beach-sitting time was spent on the west side of island (sooo many beautiful beaches to choose from!). We really appreciated having fold-up beach chairs and ice chests available to take in car or down to beach with us. Plenty of beach towels available for use. When the sky is clear, the stars are amazing...super bright and they seem so close! We don't get that living in the city. Internet was great. Heard lots of stories about it going down a lot on the island, but we only lost it once for a short time. Governors Harbor area was perfect location for us...very central for exploring north/south. Well-stocked grocery store in town. Barb was great. She responded quickly and answered any questions we had. We would definitely stay there again."

"Great location! Only steps to the beach. Stars are amazing. Sound of waves can be heard from the deck. Sunrise from the front deck each morning was wonderful. Sunset off the side deck is also great! Kitchen is well stocked for coooking and nice that staples were left behind from past guests, inlcuding extra drinking water. Be sure to go to the Island Farm store and the Market in Rock Sound was impressively stocked, especially for us as vegetarians who coooked most of our meals at Tradewinds. Information provided by host on nearby beaches, stores and restaurants was very helpful in our planning and considering what to do each day. Host was also very responsive with suggestions and help of any kind. December was a little too cold for us to use the pool but it was cleaned everyday in case we wanted to take a plunge. The secluded beaches, the adventurous roads, the wonderful shops and stores, the very helpful residents and shop owners, and Island Farm are the reasons we will be returing as soon as we can! "

"Everything about Flipper and her place was Fabulous! Quiet and clean. We had the ocean and beach to ourselves. The 2 bedroom rental had everything we needed. Looking forward to our next stay. "
