awful beds
The beds are absolutely awful. The master bedroom mattress was like 20 years old and had no structure left. The bunk bed was very unstable/shaky, so we could not use the top bunk and the person in the middle bunk couldn't move without waking up the person on the bottom bunk; and it also had uncomfortable mattresses. The location is great. Next time I'll stay in another chalet. On the surface it was clean, but it needs a deep clean under furniture, etc. It also needs a few more kitchen items and updates like kitchen scissors that actually cut and a larger cutting board. When we messaged the property manager during our stay, we did not receive a response.

Pleasant home in perfect location
Very pleasant condo with lots of room and oversized garage for two vehicles and all your gear. Very quiet side street but you can walk to pub, store, and Skibowl tubing area. Very close to the pool and hot tub. Kitchen is great, fireplace great. Plenty of blankets and pillows to keep you cozy. The problems were: main bathroom commode on 2nd floor clogged twice and overflowed once. It needs attention. Also, I don't think this place can comfortably sleep 10 people. The two bedrooms were fine, but I don't think the triple bunkbed in the upstairs hallway could safely hold 6 adults as advertised; even 3 was an issue. It is pretty rickety. We ended up taking the upper mattresses off the bunk and slept on them on the floor. Overall, very pleased with our stay though!

Pros and Cons
This is location has both pros and cons. My review is based upon me being as someone who has stayed at many vacation rentals and someone who also rents a property for others to use. Pros- Size- this was a very spacious condo for my group of 3 to spread out. It can sleep up to 10 but I’d only recommend that if there are kids in the group Location- is very easy to access and close to everything in Government Camp. Garage- If you have recreational items (such as skis or golf clubs) the garage made it perfect to store items Well stocked- the kitchen was well stocked and ready for anyone to be able to prepare meals easily. The appliances and the outdoor grill were all great Beds- they were comfortable and no on in my party had any complaints Decor- it is nicely decorated Pool- great pool and spa In unit Washer & dryer- nice to have on site to do laundry and detergent was available for use Cons: No air conditioning- we happened to visit during record high temperatures and the entire place was hot during our entire stay.. The owners do supply fans but they did nothing but move hot air around. It was unbearable for us to sleep. Just an example, it was 86 degrees Fahrenheit at 4am on the main floor, and the bedrooms were even hotter. If it is ever beyond 80 degrees outside, I could not recommend this location to anyone.. Cleanliness- the sheets in the guest bedroom had not been changed from the previous occupant. I could tell from the hair and crumbs that were left behind. Some items hadn’t been dusted for a bit of time Furnishings & Decor- although cute, some of the items need to be placed or cleaned (broken lampshades and blinds, seating need a good steam cleaning, etc TV- this unit doesn’t have live TV. You can access YouTube, Netflix or other applications but you’ll need to have your own login All in all, during colder months, I could stay again if accommodations were limited. However, due to the lack of air conditioning during the summer months, it was a miserable and would not stay again.

Great place, but...
Place looked like it does it photos. Super walkable to town and places to eat. Very close to ski bowl and a comfortable stay overall. Some issues- mattresses were not comfortable. We switched beds mid-way to see if there was an improvement from the master and there wasn’t. The dishwasher was full- someone ran it and didn’t empty it. The coffee maker was not clean and had old grounds in it. And there were some long black hairs hanging around in the bed sheets. Lastly, the place is managed by a company who has their own rental site so VRBO communication isn’t helpful- you’ll either need to download the company website or call them directly, not use the VRBO message system

Unit was not ready at advertised time
Our experience at this condo was negatively marred by the housekeeper being present upon our arrival at 4 PM (the stated check-in). He stated he needed another 10-15 minutes to finish cleaning, so we went on a walk for 30 minutes. Upon showing up 30 minutes past arrival, the housekeeper was still at the unit cleaning and parked in the garage. This was impactful as we had engagements and activities to prepare for early that evening. We, as customers, are charged for staying past the check-out time, so I feel the condo should honor the same contract and have the unit ready as advertised.

Mediocre
Lockbox was jammed shut so we did not have access to front door or pool keys. No wifi is a big negative, poor TV connection and no spatula in kitchen. PS Nothing is modern about this condo, zero modern details in entire unit. + Nice BBQ, bed & linens were comfortable and it was quiet and roomy for 3 people.

Good location and house but minimal storage space and entertainment.
Our overall experience at this house was just OK. The house is pretty good and cozy but there were some issues that we could not just overlook. Pros: - Location, Location, Location. We were looking forward to some good skiing time and this house is close to Mt. Hood ski resort. - Close to the downtown, which has some decent restaurants and a grocery store. - The Vacasa team was very prompt and responsive to any queries/requests we had. Cons: - Most of the closets in the house were locked. They did not have enough drawers nor hooks to hang clothes; not even in bathrooms. Not many options to hang clothes. - This house, surprisingly, did not have any board games or playing cards. - The TV reception/resolution was really bad. - Minor: Hall could use a carpet. The floor was VERY cold. - Minor: Could use some more pots, they had just 2-3.
