"Felt so lucky to find Valley View Lodge! If you’re looking for a place away from the tourist areas with quaint small village charm, this is it. Not much happening in the village but a walk around gives a feel for the quiet life away from the coast. Eat at the Golden Cage for dinner, the only restaurant in the old part of town. We were surprised there were no cookware at all, although provided a convenient oven and 2 burner stovetop. The clothes washer worked well. And having parking at the grocery next door was very convenient."
