Just behind the sand dunes and only a few steps from the beach is The Surfrider Lodge - this stylish beach house was inspired by the iconic Surfrider Lodge in Malibu and offers the very best of relaxed coastal living. Its location at the beach end of Bradford Road is the most sought after along the surf coast due to proximity to the waves, access to the Kuti Shack and Surf Club and its position directly on the Encounter Way bike path that takes you all the way to Victor Harbour. In Goolwa itself there is a shopping centre, restaurants and cafes plus the famous wharf precinct with winery/distillery, art galleries and markets.

The property itself offers everything you could want for a getaway.

Perfect spot for a girls weekend to enjoy a long lunch at the iconic Kuti shack and a short walk home along the beach. A fireplace to enjoy cosy nights in and to top off the perfect holiday there is a fully fenced mineral spa positioned on the back deck.

Families will love the backyard with the beautifully furnished games room where the young (or young at heart) can enjoy the retro video game console, fuse ball table, large screen TV, dart board and a large storage trunk filled with board games and jigsaw puzzles. The trampoline, large swing and hot tub will keep everyone playing happily outside all holiday.

For a working holiday the games room is equipped with a full sized desk and office chair along with high speed Wifi to enable the perfect peaceful home office.

Imagine a day spent surfing, or watching the kids cockling on the beach, followed by a meal at the famous Kuti Shack or beer at the Goolwa Surf Club and finish with a soak in the spa listening to the waves crash on the beach.

This stylish lodge has all the amenities you could want including air conditioning/ heating, fireplace, high speed Wifi, Netflix, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer and of course the mineral spa, stunning games room, trampoline, swing, BBQ and outdoor dining.

Linen is provided so when you arrive the beds are made and all ready for you to relax and enjoy your holiday. Bath towels are also provided.

The health benefits of mineral spas are extensive but a major benefit is that it can help relax your muscles – a perfect solution for post surfing, golf or a long bike ride. Perfect home away from home
Everything we needed and more for a lovely stay in Goolwa. The rumpus room was fantastic for teens and we enjoyed the luxury of the hot tub. Short walk to the beach for a run with the dog - he loved his stay too.

Loved our time at Surfrider
Our family enjoyed the most wonderful 5 nights staying at Surfrider. From long walks with our dog along Goolwa Beach to bike riding along the trail to Port Elliot, we couldn't have wished for a better experience, enjoyed by all. The kids were totally entertained in the gaming retreat out the back and spent hours on the trampoline with the basketball ring. There were so many spots to enjoy the sunshine, whether sitting out the front of the property in the morning, enjoying a coffee or sitting out the back and relaxing in the well managed, pre heated spa. The beds were super comfortable and we also appreciated the big screen TV's and fireplace in the evenings. A special big thank you for allowing us a late checkout. Thank you Surfrider. We stumbled upon this beautifully renovated home in a great position for a break over the Christmas period. We were greeted with a hand written card, decorations, gifts, and a very well presented home with thoughtful touches throughout from host Kylie. The property has everything a family needs for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Very clean and extremely well appointed. Highlights - spa, games room, and outdoor areas. Too many others to mention but we will be returning to this little gem. Thankyou Kylie and "Surfrider Lodge" for a wonderful week.

This is a beautiful property very close to the beach. We enjoyed the comfy bed and hot tub. The kids loved having their own space to watch tv and play games. So great that we could also bring our fur baby and let her chill in the big, fenced backyard.

Fabulous stay
Comfortable and beautifully decorated house with everything you need and more for a successful family beach holiday. Some of the highlights for us were the hot tub, well equipped rumpus room with arcade games, Netflix, wifi, top quality coffee machine, close location to the beach and the bikeway and outdoor warm shower so convenient. We had a couple of hot and humid days but air conditioners both in the rumpus and main house combined with fans in the bedrooms kept the house(s) cool. Host Kylie was welcoming and helpful and communication was quick and easy. Thank you for a perfect beach getaway!

Perfect Family Getaway
We had a wonderful week away in this house! Great location just a short walk over the sand dunes to the beach. Bedding was very comfortable. Our kids loved the back room and the Spa was very relaxing. We really appreciated this property being dog friendly with an enclosed yard, doggie door and outside heated shower. We had a wonderful time at Surfriders Lodge. It was perfect for a family of 3 and our Cocker Spaniel to get away for a week. Also suitable for bigger families. The house has everything that you need including an amazing games room for kids. Only a short stroll to the beach. Kylie’s communication was outstanding in the lead up to and during our stay.

Perfect Beach Life Getaway
Awesome house brilliantly located and gorgeous throughout. You can tell that a lot of thought has gone into the layout of the house from a beach use perspective. You return from the beach down the side of the house, lean your surfboards in the surfboard rack and then rinse off the ocean and wetsuits in a warm outside shower on a great decking before heading past the spa and into the shower inside via the laundry door - absolute genius. We loved the open lounge and kitchen space, the sofa and was incredibly comfy. This is not a house used as a retirement village for someone’s second hand furniture or full of cheap ‘fantastic furniture’ on sale items, everything has been deliberately selected and it shows, this is a classy and comfy place. The games room is the cherry on top of the cake, what a great space for the kids to go and play the arcade machine, darts and watch movies after a long day at the beach. We also sail so it was great to have enough room to park a 6.5 m boat and trailer and to be a quick 5min drive to the lake was a massive bonus. Good quality towels and sheets make a big difference to the comfort of this house. And did I mention that the whole family came including our little dog, the yard is completely enclosed and full of grass. Overall we rate this place very high, we will be back again, cheers for letting us stay! Ben and Megan and Family

Great winter beach escape
We drove through hail to stay here- grumpy teen and two bikes in tow. On arrival we were greeted by a box of goodies ( for kids and adults) a piping hot hot tub and a fire ready to light. The beds were comfortable, modern bathroom , nicely decorated house.Rumpus room with 2nd tv, foosball table, pac man console was excellent. Rode our bikes along the Encounter bike way which runs to Victor or Goolwa starts 1 house away. Beautiful surf beach 5 min walk away and Kutti Shack restaurant 20 min walk away. Would stay again

Perfect escape to the beach
What a great property! From the well equipped kitchen, cosy living area, super comfy beds and modern bathroom to the hot tub, games room and fire pit out the back this place was amazing. This is all before mentioning how close the property is to the beach with access via a cute little walkway 100m from the front door. And from there, it is only a stone's throw to the Surf Life Saving Club and Kuti Shack. Our hosts were so easy to deal with and very responsive. A 10/10 stay. We will be back!
