"City-centre location excellent though ear plugs essential on a Saturday night! TV remote control needs replacing as some essential buttons didn’t work. A mattress topper would have helped the comfort level. Lovely firm mattress and super-king bed but with a king duvet inside a super-king cover, which was annoying. "

"It was our second stay at The Holiday Inn Hotel in Southend and it was excellent. Easy check in, all staff were friendly and excellent service. The room was a very good size and was spotlessly clean, lovely bathroom with fabulous smelling toiletries. Everything you would need was in the room including a safe. The breakfast was excellent so much choice. Easy parking at the hotel cost £10.00 a night. I highly recommend this hotel."

"Lovely quite stay. we had 3 nights here. went home. Then came back for another 3 nights. Room was nice Not sure if it's meant to be cleaned every day. But 1 day no one cleaned or changed the towels. But overall lovely! Nice pub meals too. "

"We stayed in a separate building 5 moms away up the street Very quiet location up street with a Lovely clean room, great breakfast and the Staff were very helpful. Beach, Funfair, amusement very close. Town centre 10 mins walk. Would definitely recommend "
