Lovely Stay
We absolutely loved this cozy cabin. We were rained out of all the outdoor activities we wanted to do, and were so comfortable we didn't care. 10/10 will stay again.

Could be better
Cute cabin. Don’t get me wrong. Several things not up to par imo. Water stunk, trim on floor not nailed down, deck rotting, section of deck collapsed when stepped on, hot tub dirty, shower is tiny, bed creeks like it’s haunted when you lay down, door doesn’t shut nice, damper on wood stove doesn’t work, weird pig head in kitchen distasteful, bear with antlers in hallway distasteful, no fart fan in bathroom, front area yard not nice just dirt, tv didn’t hookup to streaming service, WiFi password listed in instructions is incorrect, correct WiFi password actually listed on the WiFi router, floor around toilet feels soft possibly rotten, only three plates in the kitchen, fire hazard next to the kitchen stove, brush and trees not trimmed up reducing view of the river, lights above kitchen table are the super bright led style which are not nice to sit near. Fix these simple things and it becomes a truly lovely experience. Wonderful setting, lovely rustic design and decor in the cabin, cool antique furniture, cozy feel, good heaters, two cool Dutch doors, steps down to the river, great parking, unique countertop in the kitchen. When you’ve stayed at excellent vrbo’s and then you stay at one with a few quirks, the quirks stand out. No biggy really, but they’re there. I’m writing this in hopes of the simple items being fixed and to improve the experience for the next family. No offense home owner. Bless you for letting us stay at your lovely cabin. We truly do appreciate.

Wonderful riverside retreat
We had a lovely long weekend here, sitting on the riverbank, lounging on the couch and watching TV, soaking in the hot tub, and cooking. Pretty buggy during our stay so definitely pack your bugspray or light a citronella candle on the deck.

Absolutely beautiful! We met the owner who lives across the road and he brought us a wheel barrel of fire wood. Such a nice guy. We also bought some fresh duck and chicken eggs from him. Can’t wait to come back!

Four adults for an annual cabin getaway. The cabin is exactly how it looks in photos. Well stocked kitchen and propane for the outdoor grill. Coming home to the hot tub was fantastic after a morning of hiking. Overall a lovely weekend.

Family vacation
My family stayed a week at this cute little cabin and loved it! The river was beautiful and very refreshing during the 90+ degree days and the hot tub was a great way to spend our mornings/evenings. The cabin itself was smaller and more rustic than it appears in pictures, but that wasn’t an issue for us. Some minor things we noticed, the hot tub seems pretty old and could use a thorough cleaning. Some of the furniture could use updating. The oven, while very cute, cooks pretty inconsistently. The only thing that we found off-putting was a crusty stain on the sheets in the master bedroom. I’m not easily grossed out and it was so hot we slept on top of the blankets anyways. But it was clear that the sheets had not been changed/washed between guests and the check out instructions ask that we not strip the beds so they can be inspected for stains which I found odd. Overall our stay was wonderful!

Cozy Hidaway
Location was cozy, tucked away. 10 min drive on gravel private roads to get in from the highway. House has a man cave feel w animals on the the walls and man things everywhere. I would say it has a manly, relaxed, middle of the woods feel. Not scrubbed clean, could use some new things. The king room feels lived in, the second room is fresher. Byo pillows. Good for dogs. Thoughtful they provided dog towels. Private yard, wish they would cut away some trees to give a little better view of the river. Nice amenities the next town over. Lots of hiking and places to see, things to do if you like the outdoors. Overall great spot. Would recommend to fam and friends.

Tranquil stunning beauty!
We absolutely loved everything about the cabin and the property. Nice change from the Texas heat to 40’s and 50’s at night. Propane fireplace and wall heaters where great to take the chill out after our dips in the hot tub while enjoying the outside fire chimney! Will definitely be back!

Beware of mice in the cabin
The cabin was ok but every night, 8-9:00 pm mice would be out running around. Interestingly enough as soon as I paid for my reservation I received an email stating we are in a cabin in the woods with critters including mice. Communication with management was delayed & not real helpful. We set traps that were in a drawer & caught three mice over two nights & disposed of them! After we got home I found a mouse had gotten into a bag full of food & ate through a bag of chips & a bag of potatoes. Every night I cleared the kitchen & put all food away. We saw where they were coming in at by the bedroom doors from the floors. By the looks of the mouse entrance it’s not a new issue! We were refunded the cleaning deposit & nothing more. Mice inside eating our food that I put away is unsanitary & unacceptable.

Birthday weekend
Property was hard to find even with written directions. Coffee maker and right side of the oven didn’t work, washing machine was broken and owner had to come open the machine to retrieve our clothes. The communication was great and owner was very nice, he brought us a coffeemaker too. The property was quiet and relaxing just needs a couple things updated.

Getaway
Location was peaceful and relaxing. Cabin was fully equipped with everything you need. We did have issues with the hot tub not working the beginning of our 3 night stay. Contacted the host about the issue and I got a response right away about the issue, she said let her know in 30 min that if the hot tub doesn’t shut off let her know. So I messaged her 30 min later like she said and then i never heard from her again the whole rest of my stay. The hot tub wouldn’t shut off then many many hrs later sometime in the middle of the night it eventually shut off then wasn’t able to turn it back on. The water was not clear kinda foggy and the hot tub definitely needs a upgrade. Pretty old and stained with brown rust/dirt. A cabin with a hot tub was one of our main reasons for picking that specific cabin. There are many cabins on the river and we chose that one. It’s a bummer.

Nice weekend
Good experience overall. Nice, quiet location. Very nice to be able to relax in the hot tub! There are definitely a few things that were a bit disappointing although we are pretty relaxed people so didn't ruin the visit. No remote for DVD player, the dishes were a combination of still wet and very dirty, there was no non-stick pans so cooking things like pancakes was a bit challenging, and the toilet clogged quite easily. Also we heard the pitter patter of a mouse in the second bedroom which is always a little unsettling. I'd recommend rewashing all dishes and/or ordering in from the local restaurants. :)

Pure Bliss!
This cabin checked all of the boxes for our first little family get away in Washington. We trekked in with 2 adults, a 2.5 yr old and 2 dogs. All of which had a excellent time! Perfect size for our family & 2 night stay. The cabin is tucked away on a dirt road overlooking the river. The sounds & views alone are worth the stay! A beautiful stone path and staircase take you to the river bed where we were able to explore at a safe distance of the flowing river. Nothing beats a soak in the hot tub day or night right off the back deck. I enjoyed the warm water with my son while my husband grilled us dinner. This cabin was set up super nice for visitors with dogs. Extra leashes and potty bags. Even a couple of “dog towels” were left for our use as there was still snow on the ground for muddy/wet paws. Again, very remote so little to no cell service and wifi was hit or miss. No biggie for us as we were looking for a bit of a unplugged experience. The electronics of the house worked fine when needed. The shower is a bit small and was impossible to shower or son in but again we only stayed 2 nights so no big deal. Overall we would come back if welcomed!

Cute place
We booked this location because we had some work being done on our house and couldn’t be home for a few days. Upon booking I notified the staff we might be needing an extra day, they said that wasn’t a problem, the cabin we were in had time available if we needed the extra day. Then more snow came. The power went out at the cabin we were in before we checked in. Beth called and moved us to another cabin. Sent me a link to review the photos, I agreed it was fine and we checked in later that day. The cabin at Jaybird was super cute but way way smaller than the photos make it look. This is really no more than a 2 person cabin. Maybe 600 square feet. The property it’s on is beautiful and has amazing views of the mountains and the river. Lots of wildlife! The beds are a little soft, but comfy. The hot tub gets really nice and hot and stays that way—even in the cold. Upon check out the instructions asked us to do our dishes because of covid, put our towels in a bag because of covid, and take our trash out because of covid…all makes sense and we appreciated this…however, we were asked not to strip the sheets so they could be inspected for stains. I have to say, this was deeeeeply off putting and really uncomfortable. Weirded me out a little. The day before checkout we were told we couldn’t come home yet, I asked for an extra day and was told there were people supposed to be checking into our space but they’d confirm because of the weather and get back to me. Several hours later I had to follow up and wasn’t given any help in finding another of their dozens of cabins available. So I booked a hotel. Gave some benefit of the doubt and grace because of all the snow and let it go. Upon checkout, housekeeping arrived 10 minutes early, saw our cars in the driveway and still walked all the way up to the house to tell us we needed to leave. We were loading our vehicles. She also left the gate open, even after seeing we had our dog there which was a bit frustrating but fine. I also took my own pillow with me as I often do when I travel. I don’t sleep well without it. And due to being rushed out in nasty snowy and wet weather, I forgot my pillow. It took 2 days to get it back and they kept my pillowcase and refused to give it back. They claimed they couldn’t find it, but I can’t figure out how all their linens are white and my pillowcase is blue. The entire thing should’ve stuck out as a “this isn’t ours” immediately.

Sweet Serenity
We ran away from the city to celebrate my 50th birthday at the Cedarstone River House and found myself wishing that the zombie apocalypse would get on with itself so that my brood and I could post up in this magnificent gem until the end of time. We absolutely loved our stay at this charming little cabin in the woods. I am quite particular about my surroundings and was hoping that the pics did it justice. It did...and then some. The furnishings and set up of this little place could have been stolen from my mind's eye. (Minus the mounted animals, but I get the allure and just didn't spend my time staring into the rafters.) It was warm, inviting and full of wondrous details that set the scene most perfect for our escape from the city. We feasted, napped, caught up on school work & shows and loved sitting on the porch listening to the sound of the river and the rain. Very thankful that i could bring all my fur babies. Not having to worry about their care while away, and witnessing them experience the serenity outside of the city was priceless. Thank you, friends. Looking forward to our return.
