The comfort of home but away from the Hussle and bussle of home life. The hot tub had an amazing view. The firpit was a great end to an awesome hike. Wished I could have enjoy the view from the upper deck but we ran out of time.

Cozy cabin
Very cozy cabin in a quite setting. Neighbors are close to the fire pit, but we never saw them. The fresh eggs were a great touch, and the welcome to the family sign was nice as well. I would stay again.

Great weekend getaway
We enjoyed our stay! The owners we’re fantastic and the checkin was seamless. There was not as much to do as we hoped locally but we loved spending time in the hot tub and relaxing by the fire! We were hoping it was a little more secluded like the pictures portrayed but we still had a quiet stay!

I'm glad I stumbled upon this cabin. It was perfect for what we were looking for, for wanting a quick weekend getaway. Check in went smoothly and loved that they included so much kitchen cookware and use of a gas grill. I'd stay here again if ever in this area!

Great Burr Oak Cabin
I have stayed at different rentals near Burr Oak State Park in the past, and this is by far the nicest that I have found. The cabin was modern and very clean. The hot tub was great and the fireplace was perfect on a cool evening. I will be back again.

Excellent cabin in beautiful location!
Great location for hiking. Multiple trails close by. Cottage was exactly as described - very functional and a comfy couch! RC & Heather were very easy to work with, and dealt with my inability to use PayPal - thank you for that!

Girls Weekend Getaway
My daughters and I needed a quick getaway. We found this place which was perfect for the weekend. Very clean and has a great hot tub. It's a well-stocked cabin in a good location. We drove to Marietta for brunch, museums, and boutique shopping. Nice to relax in the hot tub. Thanks for everything.

Excellent getaway
We needed a weekend away from the kids and this property was wonderful. We really enjoyed the hot tub and the cabin was outfitted with everything that we needed. You can just bring clothes and food and have everything you need for your stay. We had a question about the hot tuband sent a text and got an immediate response. We would definitely rent this property again!!

We really loved our stay this weekend. It’s such a nice little cozy cabin with a great forest view. Everything you could possibly need is there! Towels, rags, pots pans, dishes, spices, even toiletries! So you can pack lightly. Communication was great with the owner, hot tub was beautiful ,clean, and crystal clear. It’s just a few minute drive from the marina and Burr Oak Lodge. Everyone had a lovely time! I would recommend this property!!

Instructions on how to work tv remote for example- simply did not function properly. When you leave Instructions concerning shutting off valve --- you need to specify the propane or fireplace valve. Overall fairly clean. The only positive from our experience is that we have never been to Burr Oak Stste Park. And we enjoyed going there.

Hot tub Beds Lighting.
The hot tub was unacceptable. There was scum on the tub and the property manager gave cleaning instaurations on how to clean it. Beds were uncomfortable. Wife and opted for the love seat. The lighting was insufficient for playing board games. The Property manager was kind enough to allow a two hour early check in.

Perfect Cabin Getaway
This was exactly what we needed! My boyfriend and I loved the hot tub and fire ring, and our son loved climbing up into the loft. We also appreciated it being pet friendly at such a reasonable price. The extra little touches make the place even more welcoming, including games and puzzles, candles, and fresh eggs in the fridge. Some things I thought worth mentioning: the pictures make it seem a little bigger than it is. We found it perfectly cozy, but families bigger than four may feel cramped, depending on your style. There is a neighboring house visible from the fire ring, and some general lake sounds (plus an occasional rooster!) that we heard, but overall very secluded and peaceful. It is in the hills, so the yard didn't include a lot of level ground-just something to keep in mind for kids/pets/anyone with an issue with a few stairs. Definitely a great place to stay if you're looking to participate in outdoor activities. We went on a gorgeous hike and took a canoe from the nearby marina out on the lake. We would absolutely stay again!

Too much going on in the area
The owners are responsive and flexible. Property was clean and one can tell that the owners care about their guests. Cons While the property is priced reasonably the setting may not be suitable for those seeking a more secluded experience. Cabin is located in an area with multiple properties adjacent providing little in the way of seclusion. Further to this point, the adjacent properties are relatively close and quite honestly in some cases represent a bit of an eyesore. There were multiple non-running vehicles and other such non-operational items on the adjacent properties. This is typical of rural property and I mean no offense but when city folk like me are looking for a getaway in the woods seclusion and setting are high on the list of interests. To the owners please accept my gratitude for a clean and comfortable rental and thank you for promptly returning the security deposit. I always leave things as I find them or better when possible.

Wonderful Cabin
We would definitely recommend staying here. Cute cabin with hot tub with privacy. The owners added personal, thoughtful touches to stay-fresh eggs from their farm, handwritten thank you note, sign with our name on it. The owners were very accommodating and easily reachable. One thing I would note, not that it was bad-no one bothered us and we didn’t bother anyone-but it is not as secluded as I thought it would be. There are neighbors on both sides. We had an extremely relaxing time. We mostly stayed at the cabin. Little Italy Pizza was awesome! I would definitely stay here again!
