We choose this house because we were attending a family wedding in the area - it was a great house, clean, plenty of room for 6 adults. Short walk to the dock/kyacks - weather and time did not allow us much use of the water but it was beautiful. House has everything you need - owner was very easy to work with. Great restaurants near by, definitely go to Olivia's. We would highly recommend this property

Relaxing location, yet so much to do!
Enjoyed all of the extra amenities on this serene property-fishing, crabbing, kayaking, swimming, games! The house was spacious, well decorated, and just so very homey! This was a great vacation find!!
We had the best time at Jarvis Point. The house and area was absolutely beautiful. We loved all the restaurants recommendations and activity recommendations. We had the best time!! We will definitely be back.

Wonderful!!!
By far the nicest home we have stayed in yet!! Beautiful spot. Thank You Shannon!
This house was renovated for this purpose (vacation rental). It is setup to accommodate a large group and it is very comfortable with more on the grounds than I realized. Peaceful location, comfortable beds (Firm but surprisingly not like sleeping on a board). Owners were great to communicate and provide instructions and assistance. It is further away from major work locations but that is the intent of this location; get away from hustle and bustle. Definitely going to stay again with the family
The property was perfect - quiet and charming and all four of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The only minor complaint we had was the 10 AM check out time on Sunday morning. With that being said, we would all highly recommend this place! Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us!
Beautifully kept property which entertained all six of us and fit our needs very well. More than enough space for all 3 generations to use. Much of the house is old and subsequently there are quirks, however, everything was clean, in great shape, and intentionally decorated to feel very modern, cozy, and inviting. The kitchen was full of utensils and supplies and we had no issues cooking many meals. We really enjoyed having access to the pier, beach and boats. The host provided many local spots in Gloucester to explore, and overall the drive to Williamsburg and Yorktown were relatively direct and painless. The drive out to this property felt secluded and serene. Wish we had spent more time just relaxing at the B&B.
What a great place! The whole house is decorated beautifully with comfortable furnishings. The outdoor areas were definitely a plus - comfy front porch you would expect of a farmhouse and the fire pit area that provided a great atmosphere for our group of 6 grown ups. 10 minutes drive to a super cute Main Street with the highlights being the brewery, Olivia’s, and the popcorn store (go get some samples!). Only downside was no bathrooms on second floor that has 3 bedrooms, but that did not hinder us greatly. Not unexpected in this older home. The presence of 2 separate living spaces was a big bonus…for those of us not interested in the NFL Draft! The river was a 5 minute walk away and the dock and riverside seating area were lovely. Wi-fi worked well for the one person that had to log on for work. We will likely be back!
This was an annual Cousins trip. 5 ladies 70 and older and one in her 50s. This house was perfect for us to sit and talk and enjoy each other’s company. The living room has plenty of comfortable sitting and a nice farm table for meals. Unfortunately for us weather was rainy and cool so we were not able to enjoy the lovely porch and patio area. The house is nicely decorated and the beds were very comfortable. One thing to be aware of for seniors like us is that there are floor elevation/ transition points throughout the home, which is not uncommon in updated older homes.
We met in Williamsburg before coming to house. The next day we drove over to Yorktown where they were having a nice community market.
Shannon is very pleasant and responded quickly the few times we contacted. Everything was well communicated and we had no issues that needed urgent response.
We throughly enjoyed our stay.
Comfortable stay at this renovated balloon construction style farmhouse. We were there two nights for son's graduation in Yorktown from USCG training. Plenty of space for 8 of us to spread out, fully equipped kitchen, comfy beds & couches, plenty of parking, heat on both levels worked well (20s at night), great firepit w/ seating & wood supplied, oven & propane grill worked fine (used both), nicely decorated, plenty of clean towels for everyone. Both bathrooms downstairs, water pressure wasn't great & either no vent or vent didn't work in both, also no outlet in master suite bathroom. View of river. The recommendation of Olivia's for dinner in Gloucestershire was on point...great food, friendly staff. Shannon (owner) seemed nice via text messaging & was prompt to respond.
It was probably one of our best rental experience.
Details. It was all about the details. The fine points... If this person wasn't a marketing major, they should be. From the color scheme to the furnishings, everything was well planned and curated for your comfort. The Bee theme was everywhere, and it was so cute . From the color palate to the oven mitts. It was fantastic . The best feature was that each bedroom had a king bed. Which made it easy to get comfortable. The house was clean and well stocked, and the second living space was awesome for those of us who wanted to chill quietly. Also, the firepit made it so lovely to be outside . The only issue we had was the water pressure. But that's well water for you . Other than that, everything was fantastic. OMG!!!! The Christmas tree was the icing on the cake. Thank you so much for helping us have a wonderful holiday.
The six of us had a wonderful time at the farmhouse. We loved having the two living areas and had plenty of bedroom space too. We had a great time sitting around the firepit area. The town of Gloucester was nice for some shopping, and highly recommend the Sweet Shop for sandwiches and desserts. We really enjoyed our getaway weekend.
The location is amazing! It’s in a very quiet, beautiful area. We used the dock to fish and it was so pretty on the water! The house itself was very pretty and well decorated. It’s so homey and comfortable. Honestly, this is one of the most relaxing short term rentals that I’ve ever stayed in. I loved this place and would stay again.
