As you wend your way along the hedgerow-lined lanes leading to the quiet hamlet of Harescombe and Owls Nest, you will feel as though you are miles from anywhere. There are, however, a multitude of attractions within easy reach, and so although the setting is blissfully bucolic, everything you need is close at hand. The farmyard is a rural reminder of your location on this family farm, but within the pale Cotswold stone walls of the barn, you'll find a beautifully finished, warm, and welcoming place to stay.
The rustic, covered courtyard provides a sheltered space for parking as well as an all-weather area to enjoy. The simple lines of the barn belie the attention to detail and as you step inside, you'll find a beautiful kitchen, dining area and a comfortable living room with a cosy log burner in one corner. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms on the ground floor, offering flexible sleeping arrangements. Upstairs are two further bedrooms and bathrooms. The style and décor are light and contemporary, offering a delightful, modern feel, in this most rural of locations.
Outside space comes in the form of the clever use of the covered courtyard. There’s outside seating, a ping pong table and festoon lighting were you can relax with a drink after a day of exploring listening to the birds singing and the cows gently grazing across the lane. Keen fishermen and women will enjoy the easy access to the Harescombe Fisheries, which form part of the farm and sit at the top of the valley. There is covered parking for 4 cars.
