Good Harbor Beach House - walk to beach, close to restaurants and shopping!

A quaint 4 bedroom family cottage sits on the edge of the salt marsh and dunes of Good Harbor Beach in Gloucester, Massachusetts - the oldest fishing port in the United States. This rare location offers privacy as well as desirable proximity to Gloucester's most famous beach. Listen to the surf, smell the sea and enjoy the breeze!

You can enjoy a quaint front deck, full length covered porch and spacious back deck. The deck allows for comfortable lounging as well as outdoor dining for 6+ (Pictures to follow, currently being painted.)

An outside shower allows for convenient clean up and a large private back yard for children to play. Loads of gardens and bird watching.

Four bedrooms allow for ample sleeping arrangements for up to 8 quests: (2) twins, (2) full and (1) queen. Please note that the bedrooms with the full beds are connected and one room is accessed via the other.

Gloucester offers minutes drive to world class seafood, ice cream just down the street, golf, state parks for hiking, whale watching, sport fishing, live theater, music, art and so much more!

Cozy Home in the perfect setting
We really enjoyed our 2 night stay. The house is beautiful and very clean. Easy walking distance from the beach and only a short drive to Gloucester, Rockport, Halibut State Park and Crane Beach. Very quiet location.

We are a family, kids, grandkids, and we have stayed at this cottage quite a few times. It is always a wonderful vacation, the house is just right for all of us and we all love the sea, this beach is great for kids. A lovely time.

Perfect Getaway
Laura's place is a gem and she is a terrific hostess. It is within walking distance to Good Harbor beach and drivable to all sorts of fun outings. It was the perfect size for our family of 8 - our four kids and to of their partners. The living area space, deck, and kitchen allowed for both full group moments and one on one time. Laura recently redid the kitchen and it was terrific. We highly recommend making pancakes on the stovetop griddle. Thanks for a great weekend in this special home.

This property was clean and well cared for. It was very cozy and homey. Although our stay was during cold weather, the outside deck was beautiful. Wished it was bit warmer to be able to fully enjoy it! I would definitely rent again and strongly recommend this property for anyone considering a stay in the Gloucester area.

Perfect Spring Fling Getaway
Our group of six long time friends booked Laura's cottage for a weekend. The house was comfortable, roomy and decorated so nicely. Our favorite was the deck which overlooked the marsh. We walked to the beach with the beach buggy and beach chairs provided and hung for a bit. Close drive to so many restaurants, activities, etc. The house had so much information about the area. Now for Laura - she is a terrific host and communicating with her was so easy and she was always responsive. I would definitely recommend booking the cottage.

Loved Good Harbor Beach House
This charming home fit my wife and me, our two daughters and their husbands perfectly for Christmas. The beach is less that a mile away and it’s a beautiful place to walk. The living room is comfortable with a couch and two stuffed chairs, a desk and a reading area. The small dining room sat the six of us. The kitchen is well-appointed with pots, pans, utensils and lovely dishes.

We had a lovely time! The beach was a short walk and the location was close to good food options. The house was cozy and we enjoyed gathering and playing games on the couch. Laura, the owner, made sure we had everything we needed. It was a perfect escape and a conveniently short drive from the Boston suburbs!

Lovely graduation weekend
We went to the North Shore for our daughter’s college graduation and had the best 4 night stay at the beach cottage. The home was clean, bright and delightfully decorated. It is a short walk to Good Harbor beach and we took advantage of that each day. It was the perfect place to stay and we recommend it without reservation!! We will return!

Cozy Beach Cottage
Such a comfortable, cozy and welcoming cottage! The views from the expansive deck are spectacular and the birds chirping added a layer of cheer! The well stocked kitchen and lots of extra linens added to the home's comfort. Being walking distance to the beach was a bonus! Would love to visit Howard's Cottage again. Thank you.

Wedding weekend
This was a wonderful location for myself and family while my nephew got married in Gloucester. Every place I looked up to go to was 6 minutes away! My only concern was that since there had been heavy rain, the road was a bit treacherous (a taxi nearly stalled out in the lower section of the road.) Would love return in the warmer days of the year!

An Absolute Gem
Clean, bright, roomy, comfortable, with everything you need to relax and enjoy this cottage that is an easy walk to Good Harbor. Laura responds quickly to any questions and has thought of everything. The well-furnished deck is a wonderful spot to spend your time when not at the beach. Such a peaceful, private setting. This is our second stay here and I cannot say enough about it.

Howard's Cottage was absolutely adorable. There was plenty of space and plenty of amenities. Laura was easy to contact and more than accommodating. You can see the beach from the house although it is not beachfront. It was a short walk to a gorgeous beach. The beds were comfortable. I would definitely return.
