"I stayed here for a night whilst traveling solo for the first time, though I wish I could’ve stayed longer. Everything was lovely and professional, as were the owners. I had the pleasure of speaking with each of them—they are truly the kindest souls, and gave very helpful recommendations concerning Edinburgh activities. My room was very comfortable; the bathroom was warm, which was very pleasant after a chilly day; and the neighborhood around the hotel is adorable and quiet if you prioritize beauty rest. I don’t really eat breakfast, but it is served everyday between 7:30 and 9:30AM if you need a pick-me-up. Truly a gem if you get to stay here after the business of Edinburgh’s center; and absolutely worth the price—I highly recommend! Transportation to and from the city center is easy both by bus or car."

"Beautiful old hotel with the best bedroom we've ever stayed in. Massive comfortable 4 poster bed. Don't expect modernity in the room, as that is not its charm, but it's lovely. Staff are excellent as well and the food is good in the restaurant "

The tub was huge which is my favorite. A nice retreat from the bustle of Edinburgh, relaxing and romantic. We want to come back."
