Very cool Victorian home walkable to Big Rocks Park
We stated here for a weekend to visit Big Rocks park, the square, and Dinosaur Valley Park. We loved the huge rooms and everyone had their own bathroom. We did encounter a few bugs when we first got there, but that’s likely because of the closeness to the river and area. Be prepared for a Victorian experience and you will love this place.

Best birthday and Father’s Day combo
The lily house is conveniently, located to the river, Oakdale Park, and the downtown Square area. Much of the downstairs has central AC with window units in each of the four bedrooms. All bedrooms are extremely roomy and all have their private bath. The kitchen is huge and well stocked with all of the necessary, utensils, dishes, etc. Two dishwashers. Big refrigerator. Big dining room and big family room. The front porch is wonderful as the house sits high on the hill so there’s a nice breeze and a good view. The courtyard area around back is also nice. Plenty of covered parking. Lots to do in the Glen Rose area. Check out dinosaur world. we very much enjoyed our stay and would go back and do it again. It’s a wonderful property.

Perfect for a girls getaway
We stayed at the Lilly House for a girls weekend and the Glen Rose Art and Wine Festival. This place was perfect for what we needed. Plenty of space to relax and catch up. It is also very close to that square for some great shopping and food. The house was very clean and the rooms were spacious. Loved that each bedroom has its own bathroom. We would definitely stay again

It would have been an amazing experience had the host cut on the air on a full 24 hours before arriv
With exception of the first night of the upstairs being in the mid to high eighties well into the night and having to go purchase 3 box fans just to be bearable it was really nice. The 2nd day once the house had cooled down made it so much better

Friendship Weekend
It was easy to to get in at the property. But there was a lot of wasp nests everywhere. We had one person get stung. So we let the property manager know but nothing was done. No one ever answer question when emailed. The. While at the house there needed to be blackout curtains to cool it off in the rooms. Window units need to be checked. Not working correctly. Other than that we had a good stay with our friends.

Historical Home - Precious, Inviting, and Relaxing Place to stay
Background: We stayed here as a family of 6. We have kiddos ages 2, 4, 6, and 13. We loved staying in such a historical home. My kids were in awe of all of the "old timey" things. With that being said, if you have little kids who want to get into everything you may have to keep an eye on them while there because it has many historical pieces throughout the home. Once we laid out the boundaries for our kiddos and showed them the games they were pretty content. Plus, they loved playing hide and seek in such an old, larger home. Pros: Quite a few fun family games to play. Working TV's in the living room and one of the bedrooms. Quaint and such a charming space. It is a large home as it used to serve as a bed and breakfast so the rooms are huge and inviting. There is a living room and a sitting room. Both, are great spaces to relax. Upstairs, there is a little sitting area with rocking chairs at the top and my husband read to our kids while they sat around and listened to the story. Gorgeous draperies and the master had a beautiful bedspread. The beds were comfortable too. Plenty of dishes to cook or eat on. Our kids loved the old ball and foot bathtubs. Though, you do have to stay with your kids on this one since the knobs are not childproof and the showerhead is at the base like they used to be on all old tubs (not a con, adds to the charm). There were heater/a/c units in each room, but they also have central ac/heat. At night it got below 30 so we did turn a few of the window units on in the bedrooms because the rooms are so large. Overall, loved the experience. Cons: There are only a couple. There were a lot of DVD's available, but many were missing and I am sure walked off over the years. I do feel they need to replenish those. We also couldn't find the remote to the DVD player, but we managed to make it work. We may have just overlooked it and the main remote didn't seem to work on the DVD player. There was no actual "yard" to play in, but there were several parks nearby so we went to those during the daytime. Other than those minor things, the experience was great. Thanks!

Delightful old house charm
Beautiful home bursting with vintage charm, has been lovingly preserved, thankfully not a gut job flip. If you enjoy staying in classic old world bed and breakfast type houses, this is the spot for you. We had a minor issue with wasps in the living room that kept getting into the home, but the property manager was quick to respond about the issue and promised it would be handled moving forward. Glen Rose is a charming little town, and the town square is an easy walk from the home, and all the wildlife and dinosaur attractions are an easy drive away.
