The location and beach were perfect. The furniture was adequate. We enjoyed the fire pit and deck. The dock was full of goose droppings, but there was a broom so we could sweep it off. More towels are needed, only had one each for the week. Kitchen was well supplied, except garbage bags.
Despite a rainy weekend, we still enjoyed exploring the area. This cottage is in a great location! Would stay here again, maybe we’ll get better weather next time!

Liked the house, not Vacasa
We were excited to return to Glen Arbor and stay on the lake with our 6mo baby. However, when we arrived, we realized that there wasn't a washer/dryer or diswasher, which makes life extremely difficult with a litte one. Neither of these amenities (or the lack thereof) were mentioned on the website when booking. If it had been mentioned that these amenities were not available, we would have selected a different rental. Additioanlly, when we arrived, there was goose poop all over the yard, beach front, and dock, as well as on the adirondack chairs by the beach. We requested that Vacasa come and rake the beach, since it's not safe for a child to play in sand covered in goose poop. The maintenance worker raked part of the beach, but poop remined on the dock and chairs. I messaged AGAIN several times to have the dock and chairs cleaned but they never were, and my messages were not responded to. Also, there were dead bugs all over the windows and the tables/chairs on the porch were covered in pollen and dirt. Some of the dishes were covered in mold. It looked like the house hadn't been cleaned since before the winter. Overall, we were disappointed with out stay, and even more disappoitned with Vacasa. We will not be using Vacasa again.
My Wife and I along with our 3 daughters had a wonderful time. The views, beach, and fires at night made our stay one to remember. If you’re thinking about visiting Glen Arbor then I would definitely stay here.
Our family of 5 stayed at Firefly cottage for the week of July 4th... the experience was amazing!! We love lake life and the towns of Glen Arbor and Traverse City! Firefly was a perfect location with a huge frontage to Glen Lake... mornings were magical... and the sunsets took our breath away! We didn’t spend much time in the cottage as we brought a boat and spent most of our time on the water! Due to the depth of our boat and the shallowness of this location we docked (using a mooring) at The Narrows Marina (across from the cottage). It was literally a walk across the bridge. Paul was awesome to work with at the Marina (along with all of the great kids working the dock and marina office...
Our evenings we enjoyed having fires, cooking dinners in the kitchen or walking around town (enjoying different restaurants) ... We also loved spending time at the Dunes! As a whole we rated this vacation as one of our favorites... it really is “a slice of heaven”!!!
