The closest bars, cafes, and restaurants are a 5-10 min walk from the door step. The apartment is close to the city's stunning 'Glasgow Green' a great picnic spot and site of the People's Palace which includes a café and Glasgow-focused museum too.
The Space:
The property has 2 bedrooms. Bedroom one has a king size bed. Bedroom 2 can be configured as a super king size bed or as two singles. There is a modern bathroom with a walk-in shower. The living room and kitchen are open plan and there is plenty of space to sit and enjoy a meal or relax on the sofa and watch a movie on the large smart TV. There is a free dedicated parking space available for guests to use during their stay.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the entire property and also have use of a free parking space if bringing a car.
The Neighborhood:
The area is mainly residential with the nearest cafes, bars and restaurants 5-10 minutes walk away on Duke Street. Coia's Cafe is worth a visit for Italian food and good coffee. Nearby Tibo Bistro offers fine Scottish cuisine made fresh every day from local produce. The Tennent's Wellpark Brewery is 10 minutes walk away, where you can have a tour or go next door to Drygate for some food and a good selection of beers. West Brewery and Restaurant is situated near the People’s Palace at Glasgow Green (15 minute walk) and offers artisan lagers and wheat beers and a breakfast, lunch and a la carte menu and has a beer garden to enjoy on lazy sunny days.
Getting Around:
The property is around 20 minutes walk from Glasgow’s famous shopping streets such as Buchanan St and Argyle St. Bellgrove Train Station is 2 minutes walk from the front door. Trains run approximately every 15 minutes to Glasgow Queen Street Station in the heart of the city centre and is a 5 minute journey. From Bellgrove Train Station you can catch a direct train east to Edinburgh Waverley, home of the Edinburgh Festival, Edinburgh Castle, Military Tattoo and many more historic attractions or west to Milngavie which is the start of the West Highland Way. Bus numbers 2, 60, 60A and 62 run every 5 minutes to the city centre. Uber operate in Glasgow and a taxi to the city centre would cost around £4. Glasgow international airport is 20-25 minutes in a taxi depending on traffic. A taxi would cost around £30. Alternatively you can take the airport express bus into the city centre for £7.
