Unit seem unfinished.
The location was perfect for us and the furnishings were acceptable but sparse. 'The kitchen lacked tea towels; pot-holder/over mit; salad bowl; salad tongs; sharp knives for food preparation; mixing bowl; serving bowls; full-size casserole for oven; potato peeler and pitcher for serving beverages at the table.
Th property was listed as sleeping 6 but there were only 4 dining chairs, 4 wine glasses and only 2 large tumblers.
The unit was advertised as 3 bedrooms and 3 baths but it has only 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths and one half bath. I selected the unit from all of the others listed in order to get access to 3 full baths.
The unit was stifling hot when I arrived and I immediately requested help from the manager. Two days later he sent me a photo of the thermostat with NO operating instructions. The rest of the stay we had NO heat on the first or second floors.
There was one wastebasket in the kitchen (half full when I arrived) and a sanitary basket in the downstairs half bath. There were no waste baskets on the second or third floor. We had to use bags from the grocery store in the bedrooms and bathrooms.
The first floor hallway had to empty picture frames and a blank space with a hanging hook for another frame.
The back yard was an overgrown, mess with over 20 cigarette butts, litter, and weeks. The grass was so high that I didn't dare try to use the drying rack. Two of the four garbage bins were overflowing--they weren't emptied until the day before we left.
Only two rolls of toilet paper were provided for each bathroom and twice we purchased rolls at the grocery store to tide us over. Some was finally delivered two days before we left. The comment from the manager was that we should buy the toilet paper and paper towels at the grocery store. We did not have a car and since I was using a walker outside there were no stores within walking distance). His comment was "we are not a hotel".
I anticipated a fully furnished, decorated, and supplied house for the daily rental that we paid.
My first VRBO experience was very disappointing and does not live up to VRBO's advertising.
