Great location . Tired hotel , had a family room , 2 doubles . Warm and comfortable . No fridge . Tv not working for the wknd , not told in advance . Family rooms overlook carpark . No fan in bathroom. Breakfast was tasty and fresh . Staff all friendly . Photos make it look glam but it is not . Shower was hot and cold . Room was big but would prob not stay again .

Handy location for byres road. Easy walk from hillhead underground station. The bar was well stocked and lively. Breakfast was reasonably priced for a hotel (booking the night before is cheaper £11 than deciding on the day ). Cooked veggie choices at breakfast were quite limited by modern standards though. And perhsps because it was christmas the party going on in the function suite was audible in our 2nd floor bedroom until after midnight.

I have been at this hotel several times along the years. When it was Hilton was better. It’s ok but needs a renovation. It looks old, the furniture is old and damage. It’s not as clean as it should be. The carpet is dirty, the armchair has spots, the shower was dirty. I stayed 8 nights and never changed the glasses. I tried to wash my glass every night in the sink. One day they didn’t clean the room. It’s very well located, and the price is fair, but I’m not sure I want to come back.

The property is in a convenient location close to shops and restaurants which we really liked. We had a challenge getting housekeeping service, we kept having to call to request it every evening because they didn't come during the day while we were out. They need more staff in general, there's usually only 1 person at the front desk so the phone goes unanswered.

Main area of the hotel were lovely with a very pleasant welcome from staff. Our room was small but functional with secondary glazing that kept the noise from the street out. Unfortunately the level of cleanliness particularly in the bathroom as poor.
