Great time in Gladstone and Escanaba
We really enjoyed our stay. The home was large and we liked having two family rooms with a lot of seating. Loved the Sauna and Hot tub. Great for the cold winter days and nights. Nice neighborhood with sidewalks and walking path along the bay. Would stay here again for sure.

Nice home, but needs clear communication
Overall, the home was nice and spacious. It was a quick trip to the park, beach, and stores. However, I wish it would’ve been communicated more that it was someone’s home at some point. There were men’s underwear hanging in the garage. A load of towels in the washer and dryer that should’ve been done prior to our arrival. There was little to no soap and no toilet paper. Which is not a big deal, but when traveling with children really would’ve been nice to know before we got there. The house could definitely use a little more cleaning in between guests.

So cozy!
We had such a pleasant stay at this property! Our family of 6 stayed there and it was spacious enough to accommodate all of us as well as some extended family who visited for dinner each night. Everything was clean and there were nice touches such as mini toiletries and a welcome basket from the host. Only wish we would have had warmer weather in order to enjoy the back deck and the great lake a bit more.

Great overall stay
Great overall stay! Comfortably fit our family of 7. The kitchen had coffee, spices, pans and a crock pot for all your cooking needs. Hot tub and sauna was a big hit after a long day of exploring! We also enjoyed playing a few board games they had there. Just an fyi beach and skate park are 1 mile away not in the backyard and owner has a few items of there own in the home that was a little off setting. But other then that was still a great stay! Would stay again!

Loved Everything About It
We loved everything about this house. It has two family rooms with plenty of seating for everyone. There are ceiling fans in every room, four bedrooms and four bathrooms. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. It was also great having a hot tub to enjoy every night. The beach is literally just steps away by a really nice, quiet campground. Gladstone is really nice small town. We felt safe walking around, even at night. It's also very close to Escanaba which has lots of shopping and restaurants. We took a trip to Marquette while we were there which was only about an hour away. We would love to come back to visit again sometime!

Not bad Not great
The house was clean but could use a good deep clean. The hot tub was not properly maintained and half of our party got "hot tub rash" as a result. Almost all of the bathrooms were out of handsoap and we had to go searching for more; which made me uncomfortable snooping through someone's house for the basics. Our stay didn't really feel like a vacation but more like you are staying in a stranger's home. The park down the street was nice, we would go in the evenings and hang out on the beach. Overall, it was an ok stay.

Hot tub didn't work owners were not helpful.
Hot tub didn't work and owners wouldn't work woth us on it. Had to go thru the booking agency. Beware their maintenance guy is their older neighbor. Found dead fish in a sink, spent a lot of time emailing owner about all the damaged stuff we found. Just our trip felt ruined.

Great place in a convenient location.
Overall we would give the place a 5, but there are some things that might be helpful for people to know. 1. The first picture shown is of the water and sand. I assumed that was a view from the house which is incorrect. The house is close to the water, but not steps. More like down the block and across the street. 2. The owners do live in the house during times it is not rented. Their personal belongings are around the house. Not a big deal, but some people might be uncomfortable with this. 3. The little garage behind the house appears to be shared with the neighbors, so we had neighbors in the yard a couple of different days. The neighbors are friendly and stayed out of the way. We met with our kids from all over the midwest and south and the place accommodated us all nicely. We love to cook though and would recommend bringing a large frying pan, but everything else was available!

Okay house
The house provided us with plenty of space to spread out. This house clearly has someone living in it when not occupied by renters - when you walk in you feel as if you have walked into a functioning residence where the owner just left for your stay. There are many many personal items in each room; we felt a bit like we were invading another persons home but after some hunting we were able to locate what we needed (except for soap, shampoo, and conditioner which we had to buy). Renters with small children will need to bring their own baby items like pack n play and high chair. The four bathrooms consist of two full bathrooms, one half bath, one laundry with a toilet and one shower outside the sauna. Not all bedroom doors close fully and not one of mattresses does not have a mattress cover. We cannot comment on the sauna or the fire pit as we did not utilize these. The hot tub and bbq grill were nice amenities and the spacious backyard was wonderful. We also enjoyed the location—there is a big park and beach access a short walk down the street.

A Slice of Heaven
If I could rate this property more than five stars, I would! From the moment we walked into the front door and were greeted with a spectacular welcome basket to every creature comfort you could ask for, we all relaxed. Our hosts were available for any questions we had and so welcoming and so generous. This location is perfect if you're planning any day trips. We went to Marquette one day, Munising the next for the Pictured Rocks Cruise, then off to Kitch-iti-kipi (Big Spring) the following day. Gorgeous scenery abounds in the U.P.! It was so nice to spend a day exploring and then come home to spacious quarters and comfy beds. Take a soak in the hot tub or a steam in the indoor sauna if your muscles are sore after a long day. You can take a two-minute walk and stroll along the shore of Little Bay de Noc, or take a dip as well. The Dew Drop Restaurant has a great breakfast and friendly staff. Try the giant cinnamon rolls, yummy! For an upscale dinner, go to the Stonehouse Restaurant & Lounge in Escanaba. I had the Whitefish Piccata and it was outstanding. Take a leisurely scenic drive on 2 and drink in the beauty of Lake Michigan. What are you waiting for? Book your dates now!

Somebody always watching
First, I just want to state the house is beautiful and very spacious. The neighborhood was wonderful and the area was great. The house needs a good cleaning. We found a dirty sock waiting for us in the main bathroom. The floors were dirty and the rugs could use a washing and the carpet could use a steam clean. We found pet urine in the family room by the deck. The shower liner was moldy. The neighbor, also guest contact, went into the garage behind the house daily, which made us feel like we were being watched. On our last full day there he decided to mow the lawn, do some weeding, and in the process smooshed our dogs pet waste, which made it difficult to pick it up. He also flagged each one, which was unnecessary, since we were leaving the following day and we’re going to pick it all up. We ended up having to leave because it was too loud and my plans to get in the hot tub had to change. We were not notified anywhere on the contract that maintenance was to take place on that day so we could’ve made other arrangements. I could see him right outside the window on the riding mower. We could only take 2 hours of it before we had to leave and hope he’d be done by the time we got back. The owners personal belongings did not bother us. I did contact Evolve about this but nothing was done. They need a new ckeaning service and new guest contact.
