"Good location for accessing tapas bars. Friendly service. Because service people are not always at the reception, we need to carefully communicate our arrival time. Because a tapas bar is just next the building, it is noisy but not so much. We slept well."

"I stayed here for 2 days. Firstly, hotels.com forgot to send me late check-in instructions, which I emailed them about. The room was ok. The pillow was really uncomfortable. There is no lock on the room. Shower was ok. I wake up to construction noise in the morning. There is no proper kitchen and if someone is cooking you can smell it from your bed. "

"Family of 4. Stayed 1 night in a family room with private bathroom and it was perfect, even better than we thought. Very well located 10 min walk to the beach and 5 min walk to bus station to go to the city center. Would definitely recommend. "

"Intentar evitar este sitio, es una comuna que lo único que busca es surf y fiesta hasta las 5 de la mañana. Está súper sucio y las habitaciones nosotros lo cogimos para 3 y no existe. Cuando llegas te dicen que está mal y que te tienes que adaptar a lo que hay."

"I was travelling with my family already for 2 weeks and stayed in several different places, but this was certainly the one where we were received in a way that made us feel like home. The attention and kindness of the owner of the property were superb. A unique place, with a wonderful landscape and great welcome. We truly recommend!"

"The hostel is new and very nicely designed in a good area, 1 block from Zurriola surf beach and under 10 min walk to the old town. Bare essentials kitchen and good wifi everywhere. There is a bar/cafe downstairs and the actual dorms are right next door in a residential apartment so you need to be peaceful in there. The owners David and Haritz are two of the nicest, hospitable guys you'll ever meet who will make your stay a memorable one. Also try the salmon toastie!"

"I got double charged twice on this property by Expedia and the owner! Nightmare experience Paid for it the minute I booked on Expedia. Then the owner demanded payment in cash before letting me in. No customer service from either party. Disappointing experience and would not recommend it"

"We arrived at the property with no information about how to access our room. Whoever is managing the property is no where to be found... basically asked another person who had access to the building the code to get in and found the key to our room in the door. Also, no fridge, no laundry, at the site as promised. Great location though at night too noisy to sleep with the window open so had to muscle through the heat."

"The building holds the heat and without AC the only option is to open the window, this does not work as the street is exceptionally noisy with trucks buses and motorcycles. Also for the price, I expected it to be bigger, hot water that doesn’t run out, house keeping, or someone around to ask questions. We don’t normally complain either. Positives are it was reasonably clean and location was great."

"I can't say enough good things about this hotel! Clean, contemporary atmosphere without feeling sterile. Master suite had a very comfortable king bed/pillows, spacious bathroom w/2 sinks, automatic bidet toilet, roomy shower with multiple shower options. Excellent bar/restaurant in the lobby with great bartenders. Amazing staff, from the doormen to the concierge. Whatever we asked for, they made it happen - quickly and with a smile. Private tour of Rioja wine country? They had it booked in an hour with a guide who is an expert on Basque history and culture. Daytrip to the Guggenheim in Bilbao? Here's the best way to do it. Not an inexpensive hotel, but far less expensive than some of the marquis hotels in the city and worth every penny. Truly, this is what every upscale hotel experience should be like. "
