"We had a great relaxing break at Emma’s cottage. The location is good with plenty of options for restaurants and places to visit. The pool is a real bonus and Emma is a fantastic host always on hand if we needed anything but never intrusive. We will definitely be coming back at some point in the future as we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Highly recommended place to stay"

"We had a great week and this house, it’s a fantastic property well equipped for 3 families with 7 children all under the age of 13. The terrace and pool area were perfect for long, lazy lunches in the sunshine. We had a slight issue with the freezer that was dealt very promptly by the helpful and friendly owners. Would definitely recommend this as a place for friends and family for a get together."

"The house and location were ideal as we had small children and at times group get togethers with family in the area. On the plus side, both the interior and the outdoor areas are spacious, with lots of different places to be. The house was very clean, the bedding was good, and in addition to a downstairs WC, the two upstairs bathrooms were great, one with a tub and the other had a fantastic shower. "We had two lovely week holiday at The Chai and cannot fault anything. Anne and her husband are the perfect hosts-friendly, welcoming and happy to provide ideas and advice for places to visit. They were always available but never intrusive. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and was spotlessly clean. "Nous avons passé un agréable séjour dans le Gîte de Pascale. Gite en campagne très agréable et très propre. La piscine n'est accessible que certaines heures par jour donc nous n'avons pas pu en profitrer autant que nous aurions voulu dommage. Pascale et son mari sont acceuillants et disponibles. "

Not far to the coast and an hour drive from La Rochelle and Bordeaux with lots of beautiful Vineyards to visit in between, and a 10 minute drive to Saintes with lots of restaurants and bars, as well as good shopping. "Fantastic property. Well equipped with beautiful pool and spotlessly clean. Host superb in communication. One if the best properties we have stayed in. A little off the beaten track for amenities but no problem as supermarket about 10 mins away. However if you want a relaxing, calm holiday this is definitely the place to go."
