The Good: The place is clean and relatively modern - looks like it's been refurbished within the last few years. The staff is friendly and helpful. Checkin was easy. The rate was reasonable for the area. The shower was hot, the TV worked, no observable bugs. There are power points in the room next to the bed.
The Bad: Very spartan. No coffee in room or in office! Had to go to restaurants to get morning coffee (This is a major sin, IMO) Only overhead lights, no bedside or reading lamps. Towels thin. No products except for two silver dollar sized soaps. No shelf for soap in the shower. Ice machine requires quarters to get ice. TV works but is difficult to figure out.
The Ugly: Not the hotel's fault, but there are a bunch of occupied junk trailers and campers next door on the street, surrounded by trash, so we were forced to drive to nearby restaurants to avoid walking by this mess. The neighborhood has several of these homeless encampments.
